Read all the negative reviews and..all the OTHER flag holders with negative reviews. This works fine with one tweak. if you try and tighten this around the railing on your pulpit it most likely WILL rotate or flow over when running at high throttle. What worked for me? I walked around the marina and found an old piece of rubber gasket and wrapped it around the pulpit rail between that and the pole attachment. Have had NO issues. CAREFUL!! Don't drop your screws over the side when installing. Have had mine boat out in 15-20 knot winds at high throttle and she doesn't budge. Sure, it can be made better but all other other pole ratings were horrible. Human ingenuity.

Hard to keep it from rotating when there’s a flag clipped to it, and underway above 20 MPH.

Seems well-made...I'll update after one full boating season.Bracket was a little large for my boats railings; needed to put a spacer below it to keep it tight to the rail.

I need 12 inches plus a couple more so the burgee doesn't sit on the rail while underway. Nope. Not long enough. Maybe as advertised, but not as expected.

Definitely works well! Make sure you measure your rail size! This pole holds up nicely at fast speeds on my boat at 50+ mph.
