Can anyone tell me what the difference between the dc 2-pin outlet and the dc outlet is? i've honestly never seen what would plug into the 2-pin outle

The 2-pin socket is a proprietary configuration used by Dometic. The plug that comes with many Dometic 12v coolers is convertible for use in a regular 12v socket or the 2-pin socket. The 2-pin plug is threaded into the socket and is very resistant to working its way loose.
