Essential purchase for anyone who stands
The media could not be loaded. I work from home and know how easy it is to sit on my backside all day. I’d read about sit/stand desks so bought one (game changer) and bought this mat too as I’d read it may take some pressure off my legs. I used the desk a few times and did notice that my ankles felt tired if I stood for any length of time. This May arrived and the relief was instant. It’s just fantastic. If you do any work that involves standing in a relatively stationary position then this is a life saver. Feels wonderful and is half the price of some of the others available. I’m genuinely delighted and use it daily. Cannot recommend highly enough

Highly useful
I suffer from sciatica in my piriformis muscle as well as lower back pain. When my siatica flares up I cannot stand for long at all, not even when I'm doing the dishes. This mat is a tad larger than I'd expected but it is very well made. When I first received it I thought "oh that's better" while I was standing doing my office work on my computer, at my standing desk at home. I purchased this mat purely to use when I'm doing my office work from home while I'm standing, working on my computer. I'm not sure about the 'LIKE STANDING ON COTTON WOOL' part within the advertisement as the mat is not that soft to feel like that, when standing on it. But its quality is very good and long lasting indeed.I now also use this mat when I'm preparing a big in depth recipe dish that requires alot of standing in my kitchen, this mat does helps with that.

Very effective
I suffer from chronic pain, especially in my back and legs. I find it difficult to stand up to do things like washing up and cooking without it causing me pain. I saw this advertised and thought that I didn't have anything to lose by trying it.This is quite large and thick, and looks like a rubber mat. It is rectangular in shape and fitted into the corner of my kitchen floor where I stand to do most of my food preparation. It is easy to wipe over if I spill something on it.It is quite comfortable to stand on, after about 15 minutes of standing up to peel vegetables my hands hurt as is normal for me, but my legs and back didn't ache as much. They still hurt, but not as intensely as they usually do.It is slightly too big for me to move around often, but I move it if I am going to be standing up for more than 10 minutes. It does help, a bit, I don't understand how or why, but it does.

Great for kneeling too
I placed this mat in front of my cutting table for sewing purposes, although it looks big, it easily fits into my small space. The ridges on the back are deep and well spaced, which I'm sure is one of the reasons why there is no movement on a lino floor, only minimal if I kicked it with my foot. With carpet, I expected it not to grip at all, but it did, although not as well as lino. If I kicked it, it would give a rebound effect and nudge slightly. That said, that was me deliberately trying to move it, but for normal use, I haven't accidently kicked it and my feet glide over the edges. Unlike rugs, there's little tripping hazards because of the sloped edges. Even after a couple of weeks of use, it has remained perfectly flat.In terms of how it feels underfoot, it's a firm sponge that takes the pressure off of the foot, especially the heel. What I really like is how much it saves the knees when kneeling and searching through boxes. This is far more comfortable than the floor, reducing pain. By the end of the day, my feet are nowhere near as sore. Also, it's easy to brush off anything that may land on it.

gives brilliant support.
If you suffer from pain, especially in my back and legs. and find it difficult to do things that you ordinarily will love to do, this will give you the support that you need.its quite large and thick, and looks like a rubber mat. It is designed in a rectangular shape and fitted into the corner of room or kitchen floor where most of your task can be carried out.in actual sence, this gives a brilliant support for me.

3/4" thick cushioned but firm, bevelled edges
This is just right for in front of the sink to stand on while washing up.It feels lovely to stand on, very squidgy but still firm so you don't sink deep enough to feel the floor through it.Its about 3/4" thick.Edges are bevelled to help avoid tripping. You could use this with a standing desk too.I used to work standing or sometimes kneeling for long hours while working on big artworks and a Mat like this would have helped out a lot.Its 20 inches wide by 32 inches long which is enough for one person to stand and work at something in front of them. The top is textured in a checkered effect. The bottom side is striped across with ridges. It doesn't really grip the floor but its own weight and firmness stops it slewing. You wouldn't want to fix it down in a kitchen anyway as you would then have to clean around it and its way easier to lift and clean and replace it.You cant roll it due to its firmness and folding would damage it.Very comfortable to stand on.

Comfy when standing on it but a bit too thick
I am not sure if you have the same problem as I do. My weight balance when standing or sitting is unintentionally leaning towards my left side. This type of posture slowly developed back pain and some tireness on left leg all the way down. This standing mat is a well made thick foam, i can feel my body and leg are receiving less pressure comparing to no mat. I think it is the mat which absorbed / help balance off thd pressure. My back feel a lot better even I am standing to prepare my dinner for long. It worth it. The only thing I still need to adjust is to get used to having a thick mat on kitchen floor and make sure I don't get tripped.
