Works the way it say's. Is helping my wife with her breathing.

This item looks like kids toys but is very effective, i suffer from COPD and this Breathing trainer has been a great help for me and my lungs. every time i use it i feel much better and it clear up my chest congestion's !

I think the key is regular use over an extended time. like any exercise, what benefit you get is based on how much effort you put forth. this device does allow you to adjust the resistance. for a great price!

This has all the same features of the more expensive one. Good quality! Good price! Save $20 and choose this one. Adjustable for both inhale and exhale at the same or different levels.

The device didn’t provide as much resistance as I expected. It wasn’t challenging enough for my training needs, so I decided to return it.

My neighbor loved it ' she sure could use it and what a difference .

Note to able-bodied folk- this is likely a safe and effective device to use and the only thing you should really know is that the company has poor customer service. I would give it 4 stars if Tilcare effectively communicated. It's been about a month and I've not gotten a response at the time of posting this. 4 star reasoning- this seems functional and sturdy, but you should probably replace this every few months to be safe because the device cannot handle a more robust cleaning. Medical products that can handle boiling still often recommend replacing every 3 to 6 months and the lung trainer cannot handle boiling. Doctor says you can't eat honey? If you are immunocompromised, you should probably start with a different product that can be more effectively cleaned. (preferably boiled and/or able to disassemble) Vinegar is considered a common and effective household cleaner, but you have to be more vigilant than the average person. Vinegar kills 82% of mold spore varieties and does not effectively kill virus/bacteria within the 5-minute window recommended to clean the device. The instructions do not specify if longer vinegar cleaning windows would damage the product, so more intensive cleaning may wear it out a lot faster than it otherwise would. For vinegar to effectively kill bacteria and viruses, you need exposure for longer lengths of time- a half hour to hour seems to be reasonable from my research. It is not an EPA approved disinfectant because it does not meet the standards. I am happy to update this if more science comes out or I learn more, but overall my recommendation is Better Safe Than Sorry. Take care.
