The media could not be loaded.  Easy to use, waterproof. It can be applied in advance of laying the deck boards. It has very friendly adhesive, strong but can't be lifted and repositioned during initial installation.Very impressed!

Redecking our deck and the joists were fortunately still good so put down this joist tape to protect the joist tops from excess moisture. Went on well and stayed put while installing decking boards.

I purchased 3 rolls of this and one roll of the Home Depot generic brand to have enough to complete my deck. This tape has like 4x the adhesive of the Home Depot brand and is much thicker because of it…but thats the purpose of deck joist tape, the adhesive goop goes around the deck screw to create a water seal and the rest of the tape keeps water from sitting on the joist under the decking to prevent rot. I pulled the home depot tape out by chance first and did around the 4 outer frame boards, then did all the joists with this brand from amazon. The difference is staggering.The tape is packaged well, it’s got like waxed paper on the sides to prevent the adhesive from being squeezed out, and let me tell you, this is some exceedingly stick stuff. The adhesion is fantastic, but it’s still removable if you screw something up. If you do pull the tape up it will definitely leave sone adhesive behind, but other than readjusting a small run you didnt apply straight, there’s no reason to take deck joist tape back up. It should last the life of the deck.Deck joist tape isn’t something most people get excited about, but i love getting bang for my buck. It was on the inexpensive side and it’s much better quality than the store bought brand. You can’t go wrong.

I purchased about 15 rolls of the single (1 5/8") and double (4") tape for my Trex redecking project.Cost was about half of the Trex-branded equivalents. I found the adhesion to be robust, installation to be pretty painless once you learn to pull the backing off in 2' sections as you go, easy to cut and very waterproof as the picture after a hard rainstorm shows.We also used the Trex universal fastener system which spaces the boards apart far enough that you can see down through them, so this also makes a cleaner, more consistent look when you're on the deck looking down.I can't compare it to the Trex-branded product, but feel very strongly that this will help protect the 25 year old joist system in my legacy deck.

We had taken our old deck down and needed to tape to put on the joists before we put Trex down. This was absolutely perfect. Packaged well, seems really durable and will help shield the joists from excessive moisture.

This product worked great. Not sure about durability but only time will tell. The adhesive was very sticky but wasn't a problem with applying it. So far I highly recommend it.

So far, we've used this tape on 75 feet of Ledger board. Once the board edge is cleaned off, this tape sticks very well. Then with 100+ degree weather, it really adhered well to the surface. We tried to peel some off after the hot days and the gummy glue was pretty much there for good. some reviews said this tape doesn't stick but we found the opposite to be true. And, the wood we used was pressure treated which makes anything not stick to it very well. This tape work!

Easier to apply than I expected! I had a deck collapse, and this structure is the replacement. Wood rot of the joists was the reason for the original deck falling apart. I used PC Products PC-Petrifier Water-Based Wood Hardener as a wood rot preventive, and then covered over the tops of the joists, posts and frame with Joist Tape, since the evidence showed that the tops of deck joists are vulnerable to water damage and rot. The decking, joists and posts (4x4) is all pressure treated lumber.

a bit thinner than other tapes I have used, though this is quite sticky and does not buckle and lose shape in the sun.would buy again.

Easy to peel and stick to my lumber. After the sun hits it it adheres even better than when first applied.
