After hooking this up to a fan, this is the best air purifier I've ever use. It removes the most harsh chemicals, i.e. PAINT THINNER and acrylic paint, within about 30 minutes.We have an artist who lives in the house and created an art studio in a small 11x11 bedroom, and previously the smell was terrible. And when the fan was turned down, it made a loud hum.So then, I upgraded to THIS motor: (Motor is inside the Duct Silencer)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00S27SQL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Which is the HyperStealth fan with a built in silencer. Its much, MUCH taller now, but so quiet and energy efficient. No noticeable heat output from the fan, and it can be turned down to low speed and is extremely silent. At low, you literally cannot hear it.To make it even quieter than it already was, I added an additional silencer on top:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CTM0L6O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1And now we have an ULTRA QUIET, high CFM, super effective dust/chemical air purifier. Yeah!!Check out the setup in the picture :-DI added a little 45 degree angle vent at the top. Now it looks like a smoke stack... which puffs out purified air. HA!

Measured performance with both consumer and industrial VOC meters (PID meters) and it works - big time.Measure reductions up to 75% in minutes.One issue to keep in mind: Depending on the environment the filter can saturate within weeks or months. Unless you have a meter to monitor you could easily run the unit after it is full. At that point it's useless or worse. Saturated carbon filter can release previously captured VOCs. This problems is not specific to the this unit but all carbon filters.Also carbon filters can release VOC in temps >78F and high humidity. Beware.Other wise this is probably the most cost effective ways of lower indoor VOC levels. Works much, much better than standalone "air cleaners". For even greater performance check out carbon filters from a Canadian company called "Vortex".

This thing rocks. Just beware it big and heavy. Depending on what u use it for or location it may or may not fit. Check dimensions before you order. It works amazing and well worth the money. Packed well and quality is high

Showed up in a timely manner. Man, is this thing HUGE! Does a great job of filtering, can hardley smell the odor anymore.The only reasons I don't give it a 5 star, are that it showed up in a box with the brand name on it, which may be an issue for some buyers. They flange where it connects to the duct work has a slight bend to one side, but that does not bother me none. The buckles on the straps that they provide for hanging it are a little light, I broke one right off the bat.Over all great product that does a great job during the last few weeks I have owned it.The flange that ataches to duct work is none reversible, but I plan to just drill the rivets on each side, and reverse ends, and re-rivet with my rivet gun, once it starts slowing down.

Room im growing is 150 square feet and works well for that danky smell when blooming

If you keep a food and tropical plant garden in the winter as we do this is so nice to take away all the smells this is out second they work for a really long time and make it fresh .

This thing is massive. Pretty heavy. Well made. VERY well packages. No way that was getting damaged. Pre filters are nice touch and fit snug to the filter, no need for straps to hold them on. I feel the price point is accurate for the quality of filter you get.
