Work for me in dusty environments but bulky for casual use.
I'm one of thone 'strange' peops wot still wears a mask on public transport. But I wouldn't wear this casually as it's a more serious affair...Proper filter at the front.Double straps to really keep it on, fitting close.Metal nose strip for a contoured fit around the nose. And a foamy inside pad to seat it comfortobly with a good seal.I use it when cutting concrete with an angle grinder which kicks up a lot of fine dust which would be no good at all to my lungs if I didn't use such protection.Fair value for what they are.But like I said, too bulky to have dangling off your wrist until you have to board a bus.

High-spec respirator masks made to FFP3 standards, fairly comfortable.
This is the type of mask I prefer to wear when doing DIY jobs, or cleaning very dusty areas etc. The FFP3 rating protects against dust, particles and aerosols. Therefore this sort of mask would be typcially worn by builders, woodworkers, cleaners etc.You get 5 masks, each prefitted with two elastic adjustable headbands. The nose-bridge part of the masks have a bendable aluminium strip which you can use to form a better seal around that area of the face. After adjusting the elastic and nasal region I was reasonably happy with the fit - I felt it could have been a little better though. However, when I examined the inside of the mask I noticed a very soft grey thin silicone flange which I think is the main 'seal' functioning part so the slight gaps I was aware of on the outside of the mask is probably okay. The mask is quite comfortable to wear and once it was adjusted properly I could happily use it for probably a couple of hours without much discomfort. Masks are never particularly wonderful things to wear and the Alpha Solway are as good as most I have tried. The two elastic headbands are definitely a good feature and make the mask feel good and secure on the face. Breathing capability was well maintained generally.I would not consider these the best masks I have ever used, but having said that they are very reasonably priced at less than a fiver each (you can pay much more than this for respirator masks) so I am happy with them.

Good quality, thick protective masks
Alpha Solway 9000 Series 9030V Pack of 5 FFP3 Disposable Respirators are good, thick masks with a sort of rubber foam inner seal, a thick metal bendy nose strap and 2 adjustable elastic head straps. When you put the mask on you can feel that it's good quality. You can get a very good face fit pulling the elastic straps tight and bending the metal nose strap to fit. The elastic straps are great because they aren't rubbery so they don't catch and pull your hair like some of the cheaper masks. There is also a breathing valve on the front of the mask so when you breathe in the air is filtered by the mask but when you breathe out the valve opens. This makes breathing easier. All in all these masks are a great fit, offer really good protection and are comfy to wear.

Well made, good adjustment, comfortable to wear.
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.Good quality FFP3 masks, these fit well and have strong elasticated cords, they are comfortable to wear and are adjustable to get a proper fit. This type of mask is intended for one-time use only, though that time can be 8-10 hours in one shift/session. The valve fitted allows for easy exhalation and cuts down on the mask becoming damp through use.Priced at £23.99 for a pack of five masks, they are around market average in cost. It's worth making sure you actually need a mask of this standard, as an FFP2 mask is quite suitable for most particulate filtering/ dusty environments, and is a much cheaper option. However if you need FFP3, I think these are a comfortable and well made option that you should be able to wear all day without issue.

Excellent
Snug fit, double elastic headband, and works well. Marvellous.I use them when I'm working with resin - specifically when working on the sander - and after a good half an hour of it, these had successfully kept out everything. So, they work as intended, which is fab because you never really know with masks these days. You get 5 in the pack - they all come in one plastic bag, by the way, which is the only downside - and currently cost £23.99 for the 5, meaning they're about a tenth of the price they would have been a year ago.So that's nice.

Will save your lungs
These are not cheap at just under a fiver each but they will do the job. I’m saving these for the really nasty jobs as, quite frankly they are pretty expensive and of course are only recommended to be worn for one shift of whatever you are doing. The masks are excellently made though, are up to the approved standards and fit comfortably. The double elastic strap means these fit really securely. The lower elastic goes around your neck and what I really like about these is their adjustability. The plastic adjuster tabs sit out from your face so there’s no unnecessary pressure against your skin. Sit them on and pull the elastics to get the right fit.Adjusting the nose clip so I could wear glasses without fogging was a bit fiddly and, I did better with a vented pair of goggles in respect of the fogging. That said, I’m more likely to wear goggles than not if I need masks of this heavy duty nature. For this price, I would have preferred to have had better packaging or at least for the masks to be individually sealed. They come in a single plastic bag in a cardboard box. In opening the bag without tearing it, I managed to stab my finger on the tiny staple! Given the price and the need to store these in a dust and damp free environment, they could have done better as this could affect value for money if they get damaged.
