This is certainly a heavier cleaver that I have little doubt will chop through thicker bones, including your foot if you happen to drop it. My 1 complaint is that the metal fastening ring at the base of the handle is loose and I'm certain it will fall off eventually if it isn't crimped it with pliers or a hammer.

Purchased this for my sister, the chef, and she loves this cleaver! It takes special care (like cast iron, almost), but well worth the attention. Bone chopped for sure.

Very easy to hold and use

Do not buy this! The first time we used it the blade flew off the handle and could have killed someone!

This is not a good cleaver. I used it once and it got crooked. I don't recommend anyone to buy that. It is not worth at all.
