My husband travels to Ireland for work frequently and loves a good pint or two of Guinness or Murphy’s. He saw a video of someone using this nitro surger and decided he had to have one. I bought for him and he has used it frequently! We have a friend from Ireland working here and when he comes over, he has to use it. The friend’s family came over to visit him, and came to dinner at our house. They even used it and loved it! It makes a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. It is easy to clean, easy to use, and it takes up very little space in the cabinet.

I think this works? But also can't tell if it's much different than any other tricks to pouring a can of Guinness. It was a fun experiment for a Christmas gift though.

You can indeed taste a difference if you use the pin trick compared to a normal can w/ the widget. It is noticeable but does not elevate it to out of this world. If I had to rate on a scale of 10. Pub-9. Can w/pin trick-7. Can normal -6. Does not work if you don't do the pin trick. Must release the gas w/o activating the widget. If you activate it and still run it through the surger it honestly tastes worse than normal activation.

This item CANNOT be used in the United States because the required canned Guinness ls not sold in the US, nor can it be shipped here. Basically it’s a paper weight. Guinness doesn’t even sell the required cans anymore. This should NOT be offered at all for anyone in the US and, of course I can’t return it because I am outside of my return window.

I had been drinking Guinness for a while but as with any Guinness drinker we are on the quest for the BEST pour.I use the Draught cans with the “pin prick” trick and this device makes a lovely, creamy, dreamy Guinness.
