DB Electrical Alternator 12 Volt Replaces Arrowhead ADR0334-C

Bolted right in to my 1993 Mercruiser 4.3L carbureted engine. The original alternator was a “3 wire” alternator that used a purple and red wire along with the normal power and ground. This alternator just has a power and ground and self excites (no need for the purple and red wires). Simply tape off the purple and red wires on the engine harness and run this red to your battery, and add the ground. The factory sheet with actual test specs was a nice touch. It appears these are individually tested. My stock alternator was 65 amps at 6000 rpm (wide open) and this does 55 amps basically at idle, and 113 amps at 6000 rpm. Quite and upgrade. And simpler to install, arguably more reliable than the old “3 wire” gm alternator. Pros: affordable, excellent chrome work, great value and it puts out rated power and has factory test sheet! Mine has a set charge rate 14.2 volts per the sheet. Cons: none I have found yet.

Last summer I bought an alternator from Amazon only for it to never work from day one. It took me a bit more time to get it installed on an rebuilt older skid steer I went through from the bottom up, long story short it never produced squat for output of 14+ volts! I even replaced the Voltage regulator and it still failed to work right. When I seen this Alt from DB electrical I jumped on it and when I installed it at first it didn't produce enough current output but after I increased my RPMs all was great again! 14.7 volts.. It looks fantastic but I didn't much care about how it looked as I needed to keep my battery charged! Thanks DB electrical, I've bought many alternators and starters and even a winch motor from them with any problems. If by the rare chance this alternator has issues I'll update my comment but my guess is DB will make it right as they always do, IMPO. Thx.

used to upgrade stock 1993 MasterCraft Prostar 190 alternator. Upgraded the wire at the same time to 4 AWG - likely overkill, but wanted to since the new amperage from the alternator was 100 vs. stock 40-50. Works great and it's nice and shiny- Highly recommend to anyone needing to upgrade their older ski boat.

Used on my 1953 Chevy 235 engine. I am not 100% sure what my original 12 alternate conversion was (in 2006), but I believe it’s bolt pattern is a Chevy. Looks good and works this far. Don’t forget your #6 primary wire and lugs.

Hello fellow other human beings lookong fir a marine alternator!. This went into a 88' mastercrafy prostar boat with a 351 indmar engine. And it mounts well. It's still freezing temps so I am unable to do a proper video regarding True amperage etc but I will update a video when it gets warmer! Chromed out is a very nice touch and it arrived quick. Others online selling for 3x times more and not chromed out lol. If it last a few seasons I will ne happy!

I purchased the chrome ADR0334-C. In the mail I recieved a standard ADR0334. No chrome! The reason I went chrome was because my last alternator purchased from DB electrical 18 months ago rusted out on the backing plate and no longer puts out a charge. I'm wondering if the 3 year protection plan I purchased with this alternator even covers the unit they sent me because it is a different model. I run a dive boat and don't have time for returns. It's time to get on the water! I'm very disappointed in DB electrical and when this units craps out I will be looking for other manufacturers.

I knew I needed this and knew it fit so there was no guessing.
