This thing is great, functions exactly as advertised. Seems to be similar brightness as a car headlight. I think folks that are complaining about brightness had lofty expectations or aren't supplying enough current. It'll turn on at 3 amps, lower than that it loses its mind. My nav light circuit was on 2amp fuse so keep that in mind. The nav lights draw under 1 amp and with nav lights and high beam it needs 5.126 which is shown on my power supply unit. Overall very satisfied with the product.

This works great in narrow creeks where there are trees and or grasses to help absorb the light..... absolutely not a good idea for open water....most of the beam is reflected. But I still love it because I'm in the creeks most of the time

I have used my new Gobee 3 times now for early morning trips to the duck blind. Travel about 45 min in the pitch dark to get to the blind. The river is the Saint John river in NB. The area has many islands and Chanels to get around. The although this time of year fog creates an issue for the Gobee with bad reflection as any light would...the light was very helpful to see the reflective tape on the river buoys. This is not one of those bright LED light bars but I am pleased with the purchase. The remote 360 degree and 90 degree movement of the light worked very well scanning for buoys and landmarks. The beam from the light is narrow as stated but I found it useful.
