Switched from 2x4 target bases to these!
After using the triangle base that took 3 2x4’s to setup, I was tired of the bulkiness and how heavy they were. We travel with the targets and are always moving them. Carrying them to further distances was always a pain. I’ve since switched to these 2x4 metal upright type stands and couldn’t be happier. They are compact yet sturdy even for full size AR500 targets. We leave them assembled because it’s still so compact when put together. Will only buy these from now on.

Much sturdier than I expected
Really Solid stand. I sorta thought this would be flimsy Aluminum like my other Amazon paper target stand but no, much heavier and should last a decent while.Buddy and I took two of these out to the range and didn't even need to stake them down. They didn't move even with 556.

Smaller footprint
As others have stated, the footprint is pretty small. There are holes to bolt 2x4's to extend the legs, but it would make more sense to just have longer legs. It seems pretty solid, so 4 stars but I would look for a wiser/longer base if I had to purchase again

Fun Dueling Tree Stand
This stand worked very well. I used a 4'6" long 2x4 with 4 dueling paddles attached. Stood well on its own, I set a rock on it just in case, but it never fell over and those dueling paddles are not exactly light!I will set it up for 6 paddles next time and I think it will hold just fine. Probably will put weights on the base or use stakes as the 2x4 will probably be taller and have 50% more weight. This was a fun addition to our range sessions. I am happy I purchased this.
