It is what it is. Definitely better than some other brands.
I generally like salt in my food, but there's a little more than it's necessary in this stuff. I'm not surprised I've had it years ago and I always thought it was salty then still is. Other than the salt issue, the flavor itself isn't all that bad and it's one of those things. You can doctor up and use it in other dishes. Get creative. Put it on rice her water it down and makes it rather passable beef soup. I live off grid in a small cabin without a refrigerator or freezer, so I eat a lot of canned goods. I will be ordering this product again in the future. I gave it four stars simply because of the salt. I rather suspected it wouldn't be a problem for some people.

Good to keep on hand
I like to keep a case of Dinty Moore Beef Stew on hand along with a variety of other non-perishables. This beef stew is good, nice and thick and it only takes a few minutes to heat in the microwave. The price is reasonable, though not cheap.
