ColumbiaUnisex-Adult Military Web Belt-Adjustable One Size Cotton Strap and Metal Plaque Buckle

Bought the black version from J.C.Penny on "sale" for $15, liked the belt and then went on-line here ad found for $10., delivered - actually was scheduled to get my second day Prime delivery on Sunday and my order for two belts (a tan and khaki) arrived a day early, on Saturday. These belts are perfect width to avoid belt loop waistline "roll-over", and are as heavy-duty & well made as the military ones I remember from years ago....the buckle operates easily and quickly off and on without the "wear marks" on the webbing that typically develop on the woven leather belts I've been using for cargo shorts. The length can be easily adjusted by opening the clamp behind the buckle and trimming the length of the web belt material with a heavy kitchen shear, them re-clamping - I did all three of mine, removing an inch or so, in about 10 minutes, after a couple of "test" trims.....if you're looking for a casual belt with a military or outdoors look, you will not go wrong here, and will definitely not break the bank.

I bought this belt a few years ago and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. The durability is impressive, it's held up well with daily use and still looks brand new. The color is classic and versatile, easy to pair with any outfit. I also love the metal plaque with a polished touch without being too flashy. Bought this because I got tired of imitation leather belts that wore out quickly and were usually very costly. I am pleased with the feel and look of this belt. Am convinced it will last for quite awhile. One caution, when you are adjusting the size, it is always better to adjust the length a little at a time when you cut, because you can always cut more cotton webbing off if it is too long, but you cannot add it back. Frankly, better to have a belt slightly too long than one that is too short. Reflects Columbia's usual commitment to high-quality apparel. Great company.When I wrote this review above, I was very pleased with the belt. However, just recently the sliding catch broke into two pieces. Apparently, instead of being made entirely of metal, it is plastic-coated metal, and it snapped. The buckle is entirely unusable. Guess I'll buy another one, but I bought this belt thinking the buckle would last forever (or almost). Still a great fan of Columbia Sportswear. Wish they would replace the buckle, but probably can't expect it. Still a bargain....

I had one of these style belts in my 20s (I'm now 3X older...) and it was a super good performer, lasted forever (until I left it at the gym) and paired with just about anything. That belt was constructed of nylon webbing that was soft and extremely comfortable, this belt is a coarser, heavier cotton fabric that I'm hoping will break in over time.Now either I misread the description or just misinterpreted it, but this belt is quite small on me (just able to make it work - waist 38/40) and I've had a devil of a time with the buckle coming loose after adjusting it, it's also a little too big/wide which makes it difficult to thread through belt loops.Other than those gripes, this is a good looking item with distressed/vintage styled buckle and fabric that feels quite solid. Only time will tell as to its' actual robustness...

I noticed some quality issues mentioned in other reviews of this belt prior to purchase, but I figured, for this price, it’ll be worth a shot.I am happy to say that I have experience none of the quality issues mentioned elsewhere, and have been totally satisfied with this belt.It is attractive, but in a subtle way. It is also wide enough to spread the support across enough area to not feel like is slicing into my hips. But not so wide to make it look like a clown belt.The buckle is sturdy, and holds pretty well. I would say, on average, better than most of the buckles like this that I’ve owned in the past…and I’ve had many.I’m totally satisfied with my purchase; especially, for the price I paid.
