This did none of the things it claimed. I did have some intestinal discomfort and without changing my eating habits at all and adding more exercise, I gained weight while taking this supplement. Do not waste your money.

I looked into Resveratrol years ago and took some supplements for awhile. I didn't really notice any difference in how I felt. Some studies suggest that your digestive system will break down the Reseveratrol before it enters the blood stream so it may have little effect (maybe it's metabolites are effective?). This lead me to discover the Pterostilbene supplements that are supposed to be more bio-available. I had been taking Pterostibene along with Nicotinimide Roboside (NR) - a form of vitamin B3 - to increase health (read about Chromadex or Elysium). One time when I was looking for a "deal" on NR, I got a package with NR and HPN Sirtuin Trans-Resveratrol for a good price. It may be my imagination, but I seem to feel much more alert and able to get up and do physical work when I take these together. I have been purchasing this brand - HPN Sirtuin - with NR for about a year. When I take Pterostilbene with NR instead of HPN Sirtuin, I don't feel as motivated to get up and work. If you are interested in this product, try it and see if it makes a difference. I now want(1 capsule) of this everyday along with NR(500 mg) and is the one supplement that I actually "feel" after I take it. Now....to get a deal on this with NR again!I want to be clear that I believe that it does make a difference in how a product is made. The other Resveratrol products I took were not "pure" trans-resveratrol. They used an extract of Japanese Knotweed and often with other ingredients mixed together (Trans-Resveratrol Vs CIS-Resveratrol). Trans-resveratrol is chemically different from many resveratrol extracts. Some studies have indicated that trans-resveratrol is the form of the molecule that may have health benefits. This is why I am only buying this one. The active ingredient is 600 mg of "pure" trans-resveratrol. I put "pure" in quotes because no supplements at this price range are processed to the extent that all other isomers can be eliminated. But, this one seems to be high quality and they do state that their product has been independently verified by certified labs for quality and purity. This is the one I want even though there are other slightly cheaper versions. None of them are 600 mg of pure trans-resveratrol.
