I try and give fair and honest reviews. This item was much more difficult to install then the directions suggest. I am not new to electrical wiring or simple installations, but I am also not an electrician. I think it was complicated by the following: My fixture has a switch on it. Not a wall switch. That means the item had to be hard wired in to the switch and the coach. I was able to do that, but only with directions from the Home Depot guy. If you have a wall switch, installing it is a breeze. However the way that I had to do it meant that the inside fixture metal covering had to be removed due to space limitations for all the new wires.Secondly - the wiring is black and red - the lights are very bright - you can see the wires thru the white opaque cover. VERY unattractive. I covered all the wires with a white artist tape, which helped, but you can still see the shadow from the wiring.I did get it to work - however it does not look very nice when on, and had I seen it on someone else's RV, when lit - I wouldn't have ordered it.The lights are bright. A different type of fixture with a wall switch may have provided a more attractive final product.

I ordered one of these items as a test for possible conversion of all of the flourescent bulbs in my RV. The lights a re much brighter than the originals. However, there were a some issues with the installation. First, the instructions included do not address a fixture with a switch mounted into the fixture. Second, the instructions are for a fixture with a narrow ballast cover. My unit has a full width cover that is rivited into the fixture. Third, there was not enough room between the ballast cover and the lense cover to run the wires. I needed to run them under the cover and make some cuts in the cover for the individual LED wires to be run through. I visited the Cabin Brite wedsite and discovered that they now make a single strip replacement that would be better for the fixtures I have. I am going to give that a try.

Worked and installed as advertized. The 6 LED unit was brighter than the two 9 inch Fluorescent Tubes I took out. I also bought and installed the smaller 4 LED units which were as bright as the original Fluorescent tubes.

I ordered the 6 cell replacement for a 12" tube. Works very well and it is brighter than the original two tubes. Only slightly more complicated to replace due to the unit having an on/off switch.

This conversion from floro to LED gave much more light as it all shines down from the fixture now. The installation was easy and I look forward to doing more fixtures to enjoy the light output.

So far so good. Very easy to install. My gosh, the amount of light that comes from this is fantastic. We will be ordering more.

Can't say enough good about these led lights. Easy installation, excellent light color and brightness and no more short life on fluorescent ballasts!
