Great
This is the perfect canopy for someone who has always wanted a canopy bed but doesn't have the four poster bed. It even works on trailer ceilings haha. I had always wanted a canopy and this lil setup made my dreams come true. The star lights add a chill vibe. I didn't understand how to install it with the rope it comes with but it was not necessary so no issues there!

Months later and it STILL has a weird smell
Ok so I LOVE the look of this. I like that I can have the soft star lights on while I wind down before bed. The issue is it smells horrible like chemicals. The first night I put it up I ended up sleeping in the living room. I thought the smell had gone away after a couple days, but realized I was wrong. The way my room is set up there was no avoiding having the bedroom ceiling lamp being about 8 inches about the canopy. I don’t have the bedroom light on often, just when getting dressed, putting away laundry or making the bed, so no more than 10-15 mins at a time a few times a day. That being said, I actually thought something else in my room was melting, like maybe bad electrical. I didn’t even consider that it was the canopy because it had been up for so long. I finally climbed up and stood on the bed and realized the small amount of heat from the light must have made it smell like melting plastic on the entire top. I even went as far as replacing the light with an LED light that is installed into the ceiling, so the light is even further away now, but the plastic chemical smell remains… it was such an enormous pain to get up there (I have high vaulted ceilings) that if I take it down to try and wash it to get the smell out I’ll never spend the hour plus to get it back up and pin the lights back on. So I’m being stubborn and hoping it airs itself out…
