Smaller than 3 inches
Edges are not smooth in 3 of the 12 discs. Smooth surface makes it good for acrylic painting. Use a top coat or varnish. Giving 1 star less because the size was not 3 inches so they are too small for mugs. Ideal size for coasters is 9 to 10 cm
