I grind my teeth like nobody’s business at night. For several years I bought Dentek mouth guards on repeat and they worked fine - but then I found out you could buy multiples on Amazon with more than a single mouth guard in a set and they seemed a much better deal…I started off with another brand before choosing TheSleepGuard which had “heavy duty” 6mm and normal 3mm options to choose from. My personal experience, I hate the bulky 6mm mouth guards, as you struggle to close your mouth with them in and sleeping is uncomfortable. They end up on the bedside table in the middle of the night and don’t do the job required. 

Thankfully, these are only the 3mm mouth guards and come in two sizes small and large, which fit me both but typically large is better suited. Packaging is also great and comes with two cases instead of one so there’s somewhere to store your spares.As the instructions say, you need to wait for the boiling water to settle for 10 seconds or so before trying to submerge the mouth guard. KEY TIP: if you don’t do this, they will melt together extremely quickly and you’ll be left disappointed as the mouth guard will be utterly useless. So wait, drop it in and then give it around 10-12 seconds, a little less than recommended. You can tell when the mouth guard looks visibly softer and is ready to go! If you leave it in there too long there’s no going back, so be careful! 

Lastly, it says to bite down - but for me what works is just using the suction of my mouth and then using my tongue and fingers to firmly press the mouthguard up and in along my teeth and gums. Over the years I’ve noticed biting down creates imprints from your bottom teeth and reduce comfort and durability over time. Try only with your fingers and you’ll get much better long-lasting results. These can then easily each last 6-months if you keep them clean. Good luck!

I have always been a migraine sufferer, but lately I had been waking up with cluster headaches over my right eye and in my temple and face, which were quite nasty. I realised one morning, when I woke up, that I was clenching my teeth and my face was really tight. I saw this product on Amazon and read one of the reviews where a girl said her dentist had Googled mouth guards and came up with this one. Well, it is nearly 2 weeks in, and after wearing this every night, I have had not woken with a headache. I know cluster headaches come and go, but I can honestly say that I have found a difference anyway. May not be for everyone, and I only wear one on my top teeth. Be careful when first putting in boiling water, do not leave for long. Excellent product. I have seen the same sort of thing in a leading High Street Chemist at nearly £30.00, so this was great value for money.

Received these next day and immediately unpacked and washed all four guards and picked one I thought would fit well. Everything is sealed neatly and very reassuring. Each case and mouth guard is individually wrapped. The packaging and product is as described. I thought this was the best offer as you get two nicer looking cases compared to other brands available.I was careful when fitting the guard, dunked into water that had come off the boil using a ladle and held it there for the 10-15 seconds. Once pulled out splashed a little cold water on there and could see it was soft and malleable. I then carefully picked up and prepared my bite, pressing the mouthguard around my teeth and gums and then biting down and sucking all the air through. Held it like that for half a minute and then dunked into the cold water again and all finished. Fits perfectly and doesn’t fall out. There’s a good amount of material so the guard fits really well and is comfortable.

These were different than my former mma guards do not sure how to fit. Contacted customer support and in 1 day they explained in writing and gave a video. Superb back and forth explanations . Basically you only need one, hot water just off boil, shake excess water off and fit onto to teeth (top) and press until formed. It goes to fall out while sleeping so I’m going to try the no snore version

I have suffered with teeth grinding as well as TMJ for years and had tried both a mouth guard from the dentist as well as the ones you can find in Boots. However, I never lasted long with them as both were uncomfortable and too bulky to sleep with. I struggled to stay asleep and not wake up wanting to take them out and leave on the bedside table.I have found these guards really good so far - they are not as bulky as dentist made mouth guards but feel durable enough to do the job. They are simple to mould and it didn’t take long to get the perfect fit of my teeth. I boiled the kettle and poured the water into a cup. I placed the mouth guard into the cup and could see it softening up within 10 seconds or so. I fished it out with a spoon carefully, tapped out the excess water and then placed into my mouth. I pressed the mould into my teeth and sucked out any access air. Once i was happy with the shape i ran the cold tap and held the mould under it. I did trim the edges down a little too - I used a pair of scissors to trim the height of the shield as well as the section that covered the roof of the mouth. Overall an easy enough process and so much happier than before.The pack comes with four moulds - 2 smaller and 2 larger ones. I have quite a small mouth so will have to see how i get on with the larger mould.
