Not so sure Glycolic Acid should stay on the skin.
Its decent and it works a bit better than some others I've tried that just have salycylic acid, but not sure about the glycolic acid that stuff is strong enough to burn the skin probably best to stick with a few drops and not go overboard with that acid.Normally pure glycolic acid actually burns the skin over time but that is pure format, I don't think this product has nearly as high as the glycolic acid I've tried in the past. So it should be safe decent product overall no allergic reactions so for me was ok, couldn't use it during day though only at night. These days though, I don't get any skin problems because of a clean diet which is all you need I cut out sugar wheat and dairy and my skin hasd stayed clear up after some months. Only when I start eating sugar again for a few days I'll have problems and this is where products like this can help. I have tried better products in the past but this is okay too.Actually another thing I have no idea why in the pictures it depict the product is clear like gel, it is not clear, it is pure white like cream.

BHA exfoliating serum
So the description states this is a:-Facetheory BHA exfoliating serum S3 pro with 3% carnitine and 2% salicylic Acid, vegan & cruelty-free. Made in UK ~ 30ml.I was surprised but the warnings along with the product.*** Do a test application*** Don’t use this if you are allergic to aspirin*** Don’t use if pregnant or under the age of 18.*** Your skin will be more sensitive and prone to sunburn*** Shake well before using. But after seeing the warnings I never considered it could affect my sensitivity to the sun. As I'm already allergic to the sun and have Sensitive dry skin.I don't know if it's out of habit or not but I always shake bottles before opening to mix the contents anyways but this one actually tells you to do so.Using the perpet you don't need another to cover the whole face. I've not had any reaction to useing it so far and it's become a part of my daily beauty regime. Followed my my moisturiser. So far so goodBut I will update this review if needed.*** Details:-* Brand:- Facetheory* Scent:- Chamomile, Green Tea* Item form:- Drop* Recommended uses for product:- Wrinkles, Acne.* Free of parabens, silicones, PEGs, SLS, SLES, and mineral oils.* Vegan and cruelty-free

Absorbs well
I have been trying this for a while now and I am not sure there is any difference to my face. It is easy to apply via a dropper and looks quite milky and has a slightly thick texture. I have not found much exfoliating properties to this and have returned to my regular facial scrub and mitt for better results. Not sure my skin looks any brighter and I’m not sure this serum is strong enough to exfoliate the skin.

Weak, but good for beginners
This is a fairly weak exfoliating serum with only 2% salicylic acid, an unknown amount of glycolic acid and several other ingredients.Strangely, it recommends to follow it with a moisturizer, which suggests that it is not strong. Most AHA and BHA exfoliating serums are strong enough that if you don't wash it of after 2-10 minutes, it will burn your face.I am also trialling a similar product from another brand and that one will begin to burn my skin in about 11 minutes, whereas this one does almost nothing.I would say that this is very beginner-friendly and is not meant as an exfoliating peel, but is just to lift a small and unnoticeable amount of skin cells over time.If you have very little to fix, this might provide some very minor help, but I wouldn't expect much. For the cost, I would rather buy something stronger, but it may be OK for those starting out on peels.

My favourite skincare brand!
I love Facetheory products so much and was excited to try this exfoliator as I hadn't tried one before. I have combination skin and use a number of FT products regularly anyway.Pleased to see it has a leaflet with it - as with all FT products. It doesn't say how regularly it should be used so I wasn't sure but as it's a serum I can only assume it's okay to be used regularly. I did a all patch test before using with no issues. So far I have tried with a few days between but also tried a couple of days in a row, neither of which gave me any adverse reactions. I actually had more of a reaction from a different FT serum which was not an exfoliant which surprised me.I am pleased to say this is super hydrating and my skin looks bright and feels supple after use. No stinging, doesn't smell great but doesn't smell and either. Often FT products are either unscented or very lightly scented, I don't think this one is meant to be scented. I always use a sunscreen everyday (from Facetheory) anyway so makes no difference to me that it's recommended once you start using this regularlyI'm so chuffed with it and would recommend

I love Facetheory
I’m new to Facetheory as a brand but have now tried a fair few of their products and so loooove them. This one is an acid based serum used to exfoliate and clear skin. The ingredients in this are fab, a mix of some strong acids as well as some soothing hydrators to help skin recover from the exfoliation. It works very well as even my sensitive skin doesn’t become inflamed after use but is definitely left smoothed and clearer; blemishes reduced and prevented in the first place. The price is in line with the rest of the products from this brand and pretty reasonable for such top quality products. I’ll definitely keep returning to Facetheory.
