These worked fine as replacements for our older vanity pop ups. The metal portion of the pop up typically, as did ours, screws off with only hand pressure. The old one will just peel off like a rubber band. If its tight just stick something pointy underneath it and pull it off. Install the new on in reverse. You should be able to do that just with your hand. Just make sure it's not twisted in anyway and in the groove. It's very intuitive.

These are just what I needed after the original o-rings in my pop up drains were rotting away. Impossible to find in various hardware stores, they were the exact fit for a common enough drain type. I appreciate that they were available here.

I recently moved into a home that has two bathroom sinks made by M*&$ (ie the name of the company starts with “M” and has four letters), and the gaskets on the drain stoppers were shot, so that the sinks wouldn’t hold water. The sink manufacturer would not sell me the gasket (which costs what, pennies, to manufacture???). My only option was to by a *new $80 stopper unit*! Just unspeakable; not just the price, but the complete wastefulness if customers buy a new stopper unit when all that is needed is a gasket. Just remove your current gasket, measure it (the measurements shown in the listing are accurate), and if the size matches, buy these! It’s so simple to replace old gaskets.
