QV Hand Cream 50g

I have a terrible time in the winter with split fingers and chapped hands. I'm always washing them: At work it's to try and avoid flu and cold bugs; at home it seems like they are in water most of the time. Also, I ride horses and wash my hands a lot as a result of that. I live in Upstate New York and this winter has been awful for dryness. I tend to not wear gloves which does not help. I have tried tens of products to no avail. A few weeks ago I started researching best hand creams for really dry hands, and that was the first I heard of QV. The article said it was cheap (about $5) but that is in Australia where it is made. In the U.S. it's a bit pricey, but I bought one 50-gram tube for work and one for home. I was hopeful but expected it to fail like all the others. In just a week or so my hands have healed. No more deep, bleeding splits. I use a pea-sized amount a few times at work and once before I go to bed. While the weather is still so awful I sometimes massage a tiny bit into the tips of my index fingers and thumbs. It is amazing how quickly my skin soaks it up, and within a couple of minutes there is no residue or greasy feeling. These two tubes will last me through the winter at least, probably longer . . . then I'll buy more.

I cannot recommend QV cream highly enough. I have terrible skin allergies and eczema and I have tried everything - moisturizers, oils, butters, doctor prescribed steroid cream - and nothing works as well as the QV cream. I've been using it for a couple weeks, and it has softened my skin, knitted my deep skin breaks (which were so deep as to be past the first level of skin), and smoothed out my rough rash patches (even the swelling is down). The only downsides are the price and the smell (it smells a bit like steroid cream), but for what it does the price is worth it, and the smell isn't strong so it isn't a big deal, and my highly allergic skin is grateful that it is unscented. Also, it is not sticky or greasy. After about 30 seconds, my skin just feels soft, but does not hold the sticky feeling, which is a huge plus for me.

This is a great every day hand cream for stopping the flare ups. I love how smooth and non sticky it is. Some creams leave your hands so sticky and perfumed that you cannot use them all the time. This cream is great and rubs in leaving your hands silky smooth. I have recommended this cream to several people who have told me they love it too.

worked to relieve cracked and painful dry hands within days! my only regret is that this costs nearly 3x what it does in australia, but I guess that's the cost of import :/

This IS really good lotion, but.... it is not worth the price. The tube is small - like purse size - less than 2oz. I live in Vegas and it is super dry here. My hands are chronically dry and my knuckles and cuticles crack. I have tried every lotion ever made. I think I spend more money on lotion than any other cosmetic or body product. This one was pretty good but just too expensive. I apply lotion a few times a day and this lasted just a few weeks. So, I am going to stick to Yes to Coconut Hand and Cuticle cream. That one is about $6 for 3oz and it works just as good, if not better than the QV. I really love it - and it smells like coconut :) I had high hopes for the QV but I was disappointed.

This is absolutely the best hand cream I have ever used. I have very sensitive skin, but this hand cream does not cause any irritation. It heals and moisturizers my hands throughout the day, with no greasy residue left behind, and during the night. It is a wonderful product, and I would highly recommend it. I just wish it came in a larger size, with a more economical price tag.

Made no difference for my hands. Disappointed!

I had very high hopes for this hand cream. I can't stand greasy lotions on my hands and my hands started to get so chapped that they were bleeding. So I researched and came up with this as the best option. It does work - and it isn't greasy. However, when it starts to dry down and I rub my hands it rubs off - like kind of how a sweater pills up - and it feels weird. It is still better than the overly greasy lotions and it does a great job of moisturizing. I would have given it 4 stars - but it is very expensive for a small amount. For that price I would expect it to be perfect - my holy grail hand moisturizer. It is not that.
