Interesting set of movies on this Mill Creek blu ray
I enjoyed all three of these movies, especially for the price. I purchased it primarily for a blu ray version of Torture Garden, but I decided to give the other two movies a go as well. The transfer for Torture Garden isn't spectacular, but it is a step up from the DVD issued a few years ago. The film is one of the Amicus anthologies from 1967 and is good fun.The other two movies on the disc are also enjoyable - The Creeping Flesh is very creepy and stars Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in a typical early 70s horror film. Brotherhood of Satan is a low budget affair that is weird, strange and bizarre, but I liked it. It's definitely more of a C movie than a B, if such a thing exists. The plot is odd and the actors are a bit over the top, but for the price I enjoyed watching it one evening. Two very good horror films and one that is enjoyable because of it's strangeness make for a good blu ray set. The picture quality is fine and the price is certainly right!

A Varied Trio
I give this four stars for these reasons: the Blu ray disc is very inexpensive, the picture quality is excellent, and The Creeping Flesh is a terrific movie. As for the other two films, Brotherhood of Satan is a real dog. Mill Creek should never have sullied the disc with it. Torture Garden is one of the Amicus company omnibus films. It isn't their best but it's a decent enough movie. The Creeping Flesh is the gem. Starring those two masters of British horror, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, it is a lunatic movie with enough plot for several films. Get this disc for that movie alone. It's well worth it.

Bargain
For the money 8$ you get three movies.2 movies are really good 1 is really really bad. The bad one is brotherhood of satan. The quality of the films is my main issue. As far as being on blue blu ray they dont look that much different then their dvd counter parts which i own. But again 8 bucks you get three movies.

2 good movies, 1 bad
Don't expect anything but the movies, and you'll be fine. If BROTHERHOOD OF SATAN wasn't so bad, this would be 4 stars, easy, because the other 2 are a lot of fun

Great Blu-ray for 3 obscure flicks!
Fun set of 3 fairly unrelated flicks! I had never seen any of these and was pleasantly surprised by all three. Especially the butsi Brothood of Satan which ended up being completely bonkers!Great stuff!

Quality buy for cheap
2 70s and 1 60s horror films for a really cheap price. Picture quality is suprisingly good on all 3 films especially when considering the price. No extras and all on 1 disc. a good buy for fans of these films and well worth a watch if you haven't seen them.

WHAT IS BEHIND THE CURTAINS?
3 nutty horror movies of very good quality.BROTHERHOOD OF SATAN is a cinemascope, good quality image of strange things going on in a small town. Ably led by L.Q.Jones as the Sheriff who tries to sort out the eerie enough doings going on with the help of new arrivals in town. Throw good old Strother Martin into the mix as the kindly doctor who knows how to give a dose or two, with a mix like a long Twilight Zone episode.TORTURE GARDEN features Burgess Meredith as a sideshow operator and Jack Palance as part of the side show. Usual fun with different stories for the customers. How come I never find these places?THE CREEPING FLESH with good old stalwarts Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee with both this time getting up to no good while flesh starts reappearing on an ancient skeleton after it accidentally gets wet. Good fun.All in all a good time.
