Vonage HT802-CVR Service Plus Cordless Phone System

I have seen many reviews noting issues with the code provided to link this unit to an existing Vonage account, we are in California and the set up was quite easy and the code worked seamlessly for us. The phones look great and I do recommend this system, but not if you are on a Satellite Internet, such as HughesNet. This is not a complaint, merely possibly answering a question for other users. The Vonage paperwork clearly says to NOT use this with satellite and they are not wrong. We can hear callers clearly enough, but the delay in relaying our voices through the satellite really confuses callers. We'll keep it, as it's not the fault of the product it doesn't work as we hoped and, at the very least, should give us an option in the case of an emergency.

wow! talk about speedy delivery got it on Sunday luckily Vonage is open 7 days a week to activate the new box. I was reading the previous comments about the mac address not being valid "not true" I called technical support and gave them the new mac ID the activation was less than 3 minutes and my number was transferred from the old box to the new box with no problems. I highly recommend this model over the previous model HT701 Vonage supplies you with.The unit boots up quicker and resolves all my features problems like call waiting and three way calling issues over the previous model HT701. Call Quality is excellent compared to the previous model. I find it a joke that Vonage charges $79.95 for a new box replacement that's bananas save your pockets into purchasing this affordable upgraded model on Amazon for $9.99 what a deal! I encourage everyone who is a Vonage customer to upgrade their previous box to this model to avoid any future problems with 100% satisfaction

It works fine but wish there was a way to buy an additional handset

We specifically purchased this unit because it says it comes with the first month free; but that's a lie. There is no promo code in the box and no plan on their site that allows you to get the first month free. Additionally, it says $9.99/month after that, again, no promocode, and the cheapest plan on their website is $15/month. -- We were going to call their support line -- which on the included paperwork says that they are open Monday-Sunday from 8AM to 2AM, but when you call that exact number, it tells you completely different hours (which are far less and there are no Sunday hours). -- If I had known any of this in advance, I would not have purchased this unit.

I have had Vonage for almost 20 years, and literally had never replaced my original Motorola VoIP modem, then started to get some fuzzy/choppy weirdness and decided it was time. It was a little bit of a loop adding this one and removing the old one (had to add the device in my account, log out, log in, move a phone number, log out, log in, move the fax number, log out, log in, remove the old device), but the thing is so much better than the previous. The quality is what you would expect from a VoIP modem that isn't 20 years old =D. Vonage has been a painless service for me for forever, and likely will continue to be going forward.

Starts up and resets faster than the older router/adapter, but *82 selective call unblocking does not work with this device! Vonage told me so and shipped me the older router/adapter that does work with *82😟

cheap cordless phone. poor tactile response to keys, slow reactivity, keys are unlit

I've had Vonage for a long time. I have 2 lines and their products are easy to setup and use. Plus you have access thru their website to phone calls to/from you and can configure your phone to forward etc. And the price is right! It seems like a bolt of lightning or something smoked one of my old units and this one is a replacement. Plugged it in, selected it in my webpage and started using it!
