Amazon says that this item may be lost but I did receive it the next day I ordered it. It works perfectly. My family loves it. It's the first time I buy a toaster and I'm happy with it.

I must admit, the beautiful and well executed Oster toasters (2 or 4 slices models), are now operational in my mini-kitchen. Indeed, great interface (with fingers) to adjust your preferred toast settings...

The price of toasters can greatly vary. Just a quick search on here and you'll see that. This isn't some super expensive toaster, so you shouldn't expect that. For the very reasonable price on this unit though, it's a very nice toaster. I got the 2 slice model because I don't have much counter space and the 2 slice unit is nice and compact. Doesn't take up much room at all. The touch screen on the unit is kind of unique. I've only owned it for a month or so, but so far the touch screen has worked perfectly fine. I've seen some negative reviewers say that the touch screen display isn't very bright. They are correct. But to me that's not a bad thing. I already have a night-light in the kitchen, along with a bright light up display on the stove display and the microwave display. I don't need another super bright display. I suppose maybe if the toaster is at a bad angle compared to a window in which sunlight comes in, maybe the dim display could be an issue? But I'm only speculating there. I don't have that problem and to me the display is plenty bright. I have no trouble reading it at all and like I mentioned, I don't need another bright light in the kitchen. I already have enough light-up stuff haha. One feature that's pretty awesome is you have the ability to lift the toast up to check how it's coming along without cancelling the toast cycle. On every other toaster I've owned, if you lift the toast up to check on it you had to cancel the cycle and then to start toasting again you were resetting the timer of the toast cycle. That was always a hassle because once you checked on the toast and reset the timer then you were forced to manually babysit it since the timer would be out of whack at that point and burn your toast. On this unit though, you can check the toast on the fly without having to cancel the existing cycle. I know that seems simple, but I love that option. Another cool little thing on this one is there is a "status bar" on the display. The bar start as full and then gets smaller and smaller as the toast cycle goes on. This is helpful since it lets you glace over and see when the toast is about to pop up for you can grab it right as it pops up, keeping it hot if you are going to be applying butter or anything that you want to melt on the warm toast. Every other toaster I've owned, you never knew when it was about to pop so you'd end up walking out of the kitchen and when you returned the toast would be done but it would be cold since you were late getting to it. This status bar helps prevent that. As for it "evenly" toasting the bread,,, it seems fine to me. I've never owned a super expensive toaster so I can't say how it compares to the big money ones, but compared to every "budget friendly" toaster that I've owned, it seems to do just fine. I know the touch screen / display seems to be the selling point of this unit. Honestly, that feature has been fine for me, no issues with it. But the features that are really awesome to me are the status bar showing you the progress of the toast, for you can grab it as soon as it pops and the ability to check on the toast without having to cancel the toast cycle.... I've never had either of those features before and I'm liking them alot.... Very happy with the purchase.
