A nice model at a modest price
After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this. As a nursing student I learn better visually and wanted something I could see and touch without spending a fortune. The model is small but still helpful. The pieces are a hard rubber not plastic so I find them more durable than I thought they would be. The instructions are extremely simple and the assembly is easy. I had no trouble putting it together. I have read people have had problems with pieces breaking or not fitting right and I honestly don't understand why. Everything stays together well once fully assembled. All in all I find it a wonderful learning tool and worth the $16 for anyone interested in anatomy, nursing, physiology, etc...Pros:Portable- Small enough to fit in your bag and take to classes or to sit on your shelf for display.Mostly Accurate- With it being so small it is hard to get it textbook accurate but if you already know basic anatomy it isn't too big of a deal.Fun- Nice to put together and take a part for skills assessments.Cons:Assembly Guide- The Guide should include more about the asophagus and skin.Model as a whole- It would be better if the model had some more in depth work, such as muscle tissue in the legs or arms that are detachable.

Smaller than I interpreted
Easy to use and put together, the organs look close enough like the real thing with the exception of the brain, that could have have more effort into it. It is an extremely small model so be careful with the pieces. I vacuumed what I assumed was a small chunk of play doh, turns out it was the pancreas

3 stars, but you get what you pay for.
The 3 Stars are Strictly for the price. Let’s break it down.Price? Phenomenal. These units are clearly made overseas. Cheaply.Quality? Think it’s a mixed bag. Read a number of reviews claiming the usual about mass produced imitations of certain products. This one is by no means an exception. As a Phlebotomist, MA and eventual RN, this little 3D puzzle is fun. It’s VERY small, so don’t confuse the size, barely 2+ inches. It’s the cheapest soft ABS plastic so don’t confuse that either. But the unit itself (provided nothing breaks instantly) is decent. Everything snaps together well if your mold fits it’s parts, everything is also a great, compact tool for a visual learner. But again, you get what you pay for. A very basic body cavity “study guide” is included.. If nothing else it will tell you what should go where so you know what is broken.Bottom line, until you can afford to drop 60+? This will do just fine. As mentioned before the stars were for the price and the premise. Just hope you get a “good one”...For instance, my rib cage “pegs” for affixing the cage to the body cavity was garbage. 1 broke initially and 1 followed suit. Fortunately it can still be stuck on but I had th same problem with the heart. It DOES NOT FIT. Bummer too, because I want to want to like this.

Small parts so not gie the wee ones
I found it had great details and was useful in teaching my kids about the body. I did however find the small parts like to "POP OUT" while you are putting them together. A person with larger fingers like me might find it a bit difficult to get the parts and your fingers working on the same page. It was very useful but I wish j had ordered a bit larger model. It would be a good gift fir homeschooling family. It was very reasonable on price

Great for curious young minds!
I think there may have been a recent change in packaging. Our model arrived with the torso pieces assembled with the exception of the organs and muscles in the back. I found it easy to put together and fun to do with my curious 5 year old. The organs are VERY small, so I would recommend keeping this away from children who still put things in their mouths. The model is less than 5" tall and the organs range in size from 1/4" to about 1 1/2". I found that perfect for our needs. My son loves to carry around small things and bring his favorites from room to room around the house. He absolutely loves this! I imagine it will be a fav for quite a while.

Small and poorly designed
I was prepared for the model to be small, but I wasn't prepared for the organs to casually sit in the body cavity, only held in place by the rib cage. As such, we lost the liver in about 15 minutes and the lungs soon after. The model was a challenge for my nimble 33 year old fingers- I can't imagine an 8 year old tackling this. I suppose it's a valuable exercise in developing patience.

Very happy.
I purchased this because I am a homeschooling mom, and my kids absolutely love it! I think that it is a great hands on model. It is small and perfect for children's fingers, but even I can easily take it apart and put it back together. If you want something bigger than 4.5 inches then order something else. I saw a lot of complaints about the size, though it is clearly stated in the description.I am happy with my purchase and I will be ordering the heart, brain, and skeletal system later.

... excitement when we got this in the mail was fun to see
I gave this two stars instead of only one simply because my daughter is obsessed with learning about the human body and her excitement when we got this in the mail was fun to see. But then the nightmare started when I opened the package. This is teeny tiny LOOK AT THE MEASUREMENTS. This is my fault for not looking at the measurements, but I was expecting something bigger. It is so small and the pieces are small too. 31 pieces total. I was going cross eyed trying to get the ill fitting pieces to fit together. There are instructions, but the color photos in the instructions don't look exactly like the actual pieces so I was getting confused. And I know where the parts in the human body are and what they are and I still couldn't get them to all fit together. The frame of the body is also about 10 different pieces--it should have been one and you fit the organs into the frame. Unhappy with this product and now that I finally got it together I will not be taking it apart again.
