This comes in a huge box. All the constituent parts are very hefty (good quality, fantastic quality), but cumbersome and extremely daunting at first!Thankfully, the fittings and very well labelled, and the instructions are very clear.The chair is great looks wise. Lovely curves.The only drawback is that you can't really recline it — and KEEP it reclined. You have to use the lever, it lets you sit back a bit, but only briefly.

I'm not sure why Amazon label this 'Amazon basics'. It too well made to be classified as basic. Maybe a little bit overpriced but I am confident that it will give many years of service. (And I say that as a person of not inconsiderable weight, ha.) It arrives well packed ready for self assembly. All the screws and allen key are provided in a flat pack - not in a bag as is so often the case. A positive point in my opinion.

IF YOU FIND IT A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE ON THE SPINE, YOU CAN ADJUST THE POSTURE CORRECTOR SITUATED BETWEEN THE SPINE OF THE CHAIR AND THE MESH UNTIL YOU FIND A POSITION THAT SUITS YOU ( PLEASE SEE PHOTO ). THE HEIGHT OF THE ARMS CAN BE ADJUSTED TO ONE OF THE FOUR HEIGHT SETTINGS BY A SMALL LEVER SITUATED UNDERNEATH THE ARMS ( PLEASE SEE PHOTO ). THE ARMS THEMSELVES HAVE FIVE SETTINGS FORWARD/BACKWARDS. SLIGHTLY ANNOYING IS THAT THERE IS NO POSITION LOCK ON THE FORWARD/BACKWARDS MOTION BUT THIS IS NO BIG DEAL AS, WHATEVER WORK IT IS THAT YOU ARE-DOING, THE ARM RESTS WILL SLIDE INTO THE SUITABLE POSITION. UNDERNEATH THE SEAT IS A LEVER THAT ADJUSTS THE HEIGHT OF THE SEAT. HERE IS WHERE A STAR HAS TO BE LOST. CAN’T HELP IT THE STAR HAS TO GO AS WHEN THE SEAT IS IN THE HIGHER POSITION, YOU HAVE A LOVELY HYDRAULIC CUSHIONING, THE TROUBLE IS THAT WHEN IT IS IN ITS LOWEST POSITION THERE IS NO GENTLE HYDRAULIC MOTION, NO BOUNCE WHATSOEVER. YOU JUST AS WELL BE SITTING ON A BREEZE BLOCK. THE CUSHIONING THAT YOU SEE AT THE FRONT OF THE CHAIR IS DECEPTIVE. UNDERNEATH, THE CUSHION GOES UPWARD A FAIR WAY UNTIL IT MEETS A METAL PLATE SO THE PART THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY SITTING ON IS ONLY A FEW CENTIMETRES THICK GIVING YOU A NUMB BOTTOM AND ACHING THIGHS AFTER PROLONGED USE. I WOULD HAVE LIKED A SLIGHTLY LARGER SEATING AREA. THICKER CUSHIONING AND HYDRAULICS IN EVERY SEATING HEIGHT. THERE IS A TENSIONER UNDERNEATH ( PLEASE SEE LARGE BLACK TENSIONER PHOTO). THIS TENSIONER DOES SO LITTLE THAT YOU WOULDN’T MISS IT IF IT WERE NOT THERE. THERE IS NO DOUBTING THAT THIS IS A STYLISH & FUNCTION-ABLE OFFICE CHAIR, HOWEVER IF I WERE LOOKING FOR AN OFFICE CHAIR AT THE SAME PRICE, I WOULD BE LOOKING FOR ONE WITH A LARGER SEATING AREA, MORE PADDING. AND A SLIGHT RECLINING OPTION. AN UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW. TWO WEEKS AFTER WRITING THIS REVIEW, THE TENSIONER STARTED TO WORK AND THE CHAIR HAS NOW AROUND A 35 DEGREE RECLINE.

A really good chair. I have a home office and my chair is getting a bit worn so I’m on the lookout for a new one and this came along at just the right time. It’s sturdy, easy to wipe down and the seat doesn’t look like a fabric that will wear easily. I also thing the mesh back will contribute to keeping me cool (though the grandchildren think I’m cool already). It’s a very sleek looking design, nice armrests and an easy mechanism to adjust the seat height and tilt. I actually think the price is a little high – there’s many on Amazon in the £80 to £100 range though you’ll always get some way over the top at £200 plus. I’ve still given it five stars though because I think it’s good quality and I really like it.

This is a great chair, really comfy. The height, arms and back are all adjustable to make it more comfortable.The footprint in reasonably big but the chair is quite luxurious and looks great in my office.
