Melissa & Doug Deluxe Princess Scratch Art Set

I had to try this out before giving it to my 6 yr. old niece. They are fun. The drawing cards are (kind of waxy) black. You take a small wooden stylus and "draw", or etch off the black. Underneath is the colorful base. The kits also come with cute stencils to help the "just learning". I like the idea and the girls enjoyed them as well. Melissa and Doug gifts are always better than average and creative.

This was one of my 4-year-old daughter's favorite gifts for Christmas. I currently have her scratch artwork on just about every wall! It's easy for her to use, and she likes this as a great change from her "normal" art projects. I'd give it five stars if there were just a few more materials (i.e., more scratch art paper) in it, as it runs out pretty quickly.

This is a Christmas present, and it's not Christmas yet, so I don't how much the kids will love it. However, I opened the box just to take a look. The box is 22" X 12". However the contents are in a small plastic bag which I haven't opened. The bag is very thin, and only 10" X 6". It looks like a motley collection of post cards and directions. The fact that they put that tiny little bag in a box that was more than twice as big as the contents gives me a check. I'll update this review when I find out how well the gift is received.

Great product. only reason it is 4 instead of 5 stars is that i was hoping for more sheets. all used up within a couple of hours. went on to teach my little lady how to make them but of course not as nice as the store bought ones.

This is a bit expensive but my 5 year old daughter loved this. She played with it each night for about a week creating etchings and was always excited to find the color underneath. Great birthday gift.

The set itself is great, it's what it should be but, as with similar sets, I wish there was more. My daughter used all of it in one day. She had fun doing it though!

The stylus that were to b included were not inside the box so how can a child scratch a sketch without? NOT thrilled

Kids loved the sparkly scratch art paper but the stencil was far to flimsy... big box with not lots inside!
