It does light up the ceiling. Finding a good spot might be a bit difficult. Our first spot had the moon streaking elongated up the wall, which was kinda hilarious.The visuals consist of a green laser that uses a lens to spread it out into the stars. The pattern is a little annoyingly consistent, but it's still pretty. The "cloud"-looking part of the projection comes in several colours - appears to have full RGB LEDs for it. Some colours are really pretty - blue, green, white. There's one that had red and green separated and that's kinda ugly to me, but hey, there's options and some might like them, that's nice to have options.The speaker is alright, not great. The built-in sounds are - as most such things in my opinion - far too short. They loop too quickly and your ear hears the pattern of repetition. That said, it's fine and we've used the sound some nights, but mostly just the light.I'd rather get a different bluetooth speaker for soft music, but there's nothing wrong with this one, it's just not very amazing.But for the price? You cannot beat all the functionality they stuffed in this thing. We love it and turn it on almost every night.

The media could not be loaded.  I am absolutely in love with this. My kids love it too. It’s very easy to use and lights up most of their room. The colors are very bright and perfectly mimic a starry night.We enjoyed the soft lullaby and waterfall sounds. There are also sounds of thunder. You can use the Bluetooth to hook it up to your favorite smart device to play your music as you sleep. Set the timer to have it cut itself off.The remote allows you to easily change sounds and colors. Choose one color or a mix of colors to create your dream projection.Their is an app but I did not use it. The remote worked perfectly.It’s only down fall is it has to be plugged in so no mobility. Being plugged into a wall limits the area product can cover. If it was chargeable or battery it would have been better. But it is a great product.

I got this as a surprise for the kiddo and its been a non-stop dance party in her bedroom since. She loves the lighting and the sound machine aspect and won't stop trying all the different settings. I have to tell her that I'm going to take it away if she doesn't stop messing around with it at night lol! The remote is great so she can adjust as needed from across the room. And the timer function is perfect so that it'll turn off when she's finally asleep. Neat little surprise gift.

The media could not be loaded.  This is just so beautiful. I did not realize it also played music and thunderstorm noises. I suffer from extreme insomnia all the time and things like this help me sleep better instead of taking medications. I am looking forward to some peaceful nights of sleep. This is great for adults or for kids. I definitely would recommend giving this a try.

This light is awesome. It does so much. It changes colors, plays music through your Bluetooth, has white noise and also a nightlight. My teen daughter loves it. If you don't like the moon it's separate and can be covered. Love the remote too. Works with Alexa and Google too. It's been on nonstop since I got it with no problems. Would definitely buy again.

This adds a beautiful set of visual effects to our home to allow for always setting the perfect scene. Easy to link to your smartphone app and works properly with Alexa for full voice control. A very nice way to relax under the stars but not.

Love the fact that everything function is adjustable and combinable. Can connect to Bluetooth and has sound machine. Remote is wonder for late at night turn on. And keeps the baby occupied.

If you are having issues connecting it to your wifi here’s how I did it, I have mesh internet so I don’t have the 2.4g or 5g separate WiFi it’s all in one. I figured out that if you have an iPhone 12 or later or an iPad Pro 12.9 inch or later there should be an option in the personal hotspot setting called “Maximize Compatibility”, this switches the band from 5ghz to 2.4ghz which is REQUIRED for setting up the device. I have the XS Max (it doesn’t have this option) but my iPad Pro does have it. So this is how I connected the app to Wifi:1. I turned on the personal hotspot on my iPad and turned ON Maximize Compatibility and connected my iPhone to it.2. I opened the smart life app and followed the given instructions for connecting the projector.3. Once the projector was connected to the the app , I played around with it for a bit before switching my phone back to my original home WiFi.4. And you’re all done! And you can enjoy your product!I love this projector! I initially used it with just the remote because I couldn’t figure out how to connect it to the app and the remote control is very easy to use. The colors are vivid and the nightlight cover does block most of the light so you get this warm glow from it. The app is very nice I love that there are different preset themes for the LEDs. I tried to use my music with it and it definitely flashes a lot, so if you are sensitive to flashing lights I would recommend turning the green mic off in the app because it picks up the music. I’m not sure if there a way to lessen the flashing of the lights when listening to music. Other than that I really love this projector for relaxing before bed.
