but the B-Wing was always super tough because of the rotating cockpit
As a kid I built a lot of Star Wars ships from scratch (before officially licensed sets started coming out), but the B-Wing was always super tough because of the rotating cockpit. Well, I'm now 30, and I still get Legos every birthday, and this year I got the official Lego B-Wing, and I feel like it has provided me with closure. It looks brilliant, is super creative, and it gives Lego life to my favorite Star Wars fighter. The only issue is it's hard to pose on a shelf, since it doesn't stand straight up. But really, that's such a first-world problem it shouldn't keep you from getting this set.

Will order more from here
Totally worth it for my husband who's favorite ship was the b wing and they aren't easy to find.

These are better. I was very impressed with the quality of ...
These LEGOS are not the LEGOS I grew up with. These are better. I was very impressed with the quality of the "model" after I built it. The size, weight and durability are impressive. I only have two issues with it, the cockpit tends to come apart easily and there is no stand to display it with the wings out. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. If you are a Star Wars fan you will love this set.

One wrong part included... Still a great set!
I used to own the original B-Wing (7180) when I was younger. I bit the brick and purchased this most recent rendition that was made in 2014 for about $90 as of 3/14/17. Building this awesome ship brought back so many fun memories! However, there was one defect. On the largest wing, there is a 2x4 stud slanted piece that sits behind some sort of vent that's completely backwards! Because it only faces one direction, it can't be alternated. Out of all of the Lego sets I've owned, this one included the wrong part! I'll have to find a replacement piece since I no longer own my old giant bin of Legos I can sift through.Aside from that one issue, this B-Wing is much more sturdy and detailed compared to the original model. When tilted, the cockpit rotates with gravity. The smaller wings can angle up and down and they each have spring loaded shooters on them to add a bit more action. I wish they had those when I was younger, but at least I have them now!

this is the perfect gift. Bought them each one for Christmas
When you have two eight year old grandsons, this is the perfect gift. Bought them each one for Christmas. Lego hits the mark again with its creative engineering, giving the kids a great building experience as well as years of fun. Lego is always great quality and we once again totally enjoyed the product.

Bravo for the B-Wing
One of my favorite Star Wars star fighter designs of all time. While not as detailed as the UCS, this newest B-Wing (Blade Wing) treatment is not only an improvement over the older designs previously released over the years, but a very nice playset. The only drawback with this one was the lack of accessories the previous B-Wings came with, such as a docking station or control center. Here is to hoping a future Rebels red/orange B-Wing prototype set is released in the near future featuring Hera and Quarrie.

Lock S-Foils in Attack Position.
This is such a cool, intricate ship for just $40. It's easily over a foot long end-to-end. The two side wings fold down and sandwich around the primary wing, and the side wings feature press-down projectile cannons. The cockpit slides with just the right amount of friction to allow for each manual adjustment, and it won't rotate freely when the ship is rotated. And this set comes with its own brick separator to boot. The only issue I have is with the box, but not its durability--the way the ship is depicted on the box is slightly unfaithful to the original trilogy and the Rogue Squadron games! The more correct attack position (wings unfolded) as shown in the movies and games is an upright '+' shape with the cockpit on top, although the ship is designed to rotate around the cockpit so any attack position is fine. This is just a fangasm-loaded nitpick.Overall, 5 Stars for sure!

Another awesome lego kit for Star Wars!!
Great kit. It's a little over 13" long with folding wing and a swiveling cockpit. It also has two dart shooters in the wing guns and an opening canopy that fits its mini fig in nicely. Very fun kit to put together and play with after the fact. Five Stars all the way!!!
