Klipsch S4A II vs TTPOD T1-E?
SOUND: I'm comparing these with my (now deceased...) pair of Klipsch S4A II's. The overall personality of these phones (I'll get to the design later...) was little bit more unhinged and wild than I'm used to, I'm assuming because the sound signature is more of a straight dynamic tone as apposed to the Klipsch's moving coil. They aren't nearly as precision oriented as the S4a's. But then again with these phones I heard whole sections of songs that I was never able to hear with the Klipcsh. I think the first thing that stands out is the hifi quality sound that these produce. They have this massive sound about them. You can hear everything! High's are fantastic mids are ok. Again not nearly as precise as Klipsch. I've had about ten hours of burn in time so far (it's still not done yet...) and I don't understand why there is so much hype about the bass. Maybe it's because I used an amp for S4A's but I use an amp for these too and the bass still doesn't have the tightness, warmth, depth and punch of the s4's. The T1-E's are a little bit too boomy on the low end for my perfectionist sound taste's. I know it's not a fair comparison being that I got these for $39 shipped but everyone seems to think that these are better for some reason. Maybe it will get better with more burn time...BUILD: As far as build quality goes there's not much to talk about... these are hands down the best looking phones that I've ever had. I have one complaint though (two if you include the broken clip that came with it...) these things are GIGANTIC. GARGANTUAN. HUGE. AND MASSIVE. They edited the picture to make it look smaller. There's almost an inch of length from the ear gel to the opposite end. I wonder if they designed it that way to improve the sound-stage. Anyways, they are nice looking and feel very durable. They are very well constructed and have minimal cable noise. There comes with about ten pairs of ear-gels of all sizes and shapes for the right seal and sound.Overall I'm still in love with the Klipsch sound signature but maybe with more time these will get better.

I really enjoyed the Velodyne vPulse before they redesigned them
These IEMs are the real stuff. I am a bass head but maybe a refined one. I really enjoyed the Velodyne vPulse before they redesigned them.. these have similar amounts and quality of bass which is to say INCREDIBLE!. But that is not the high point of these IEMs. They have the sweetest highs and mids I have ever heard in a headphone/iem under about $250 and that is the truth. I am using an Android Sabre mini DAC and rest assured although you wont be able to blow your ear drums out with this setup, you will get incredible high fidelity music with bass, mids, and treble to die for. All I need to do now is order more of these T1-E's

Good premise, terrible execution.
I have been using these for a solid 24 hours now and feel I have a solid opinion on these earbuds.Packaging: Very nice. Everything was included as listed including the 3 different colors of plugs in 3 sizes.Sound quality:Poor. There is a constant tinny-sounding buzz accompanied by an overemphasis on the treble range. Perhaps this is specific to the set I received. I did make sure that they were situated completely in my ear canal as is needed for any IEM type headphone. The low end bass response was satisfactory across multiple different genres of music and was not overemphasized. I listened to tracks that I was very familiar with for all of my listening tests.Fit and Finish:Poor to middling. The cable(s) on these is very firm and feels like cheap speaker cabling. Most sets utilize a much more supple type of cable whether it be silicone jacketed or not. When properly inserted, the cable transmits a lot of noise from contact with clothes or skin. Silicone cabling typically does not suffer from this as much. The shape of these buds is awkward at best and difficult to insert and remove from the ears due to the very smooth glossy finish on all sides. There is no demarcation on the buds to indicate Left or Right orientation. The odd shape also makes it very difficult to find a comfortable position for them for people with smaller ears, especially for extended listening.Overall Impression:I would not purchase these again nor recommend them to anyone barring a major redesign and some real attention to the details that make or break something like this.
