I’ve used other dishwasher cleansers, like affresh and the cascade does a much better job cleaning my dishwasher. I leaves my stainless steel interior gleaming and takes care of any odors I get in my washer. It seems a little pricy, but I only have to use it every 3 months. I have a fancy KitchenAid dishwasher that is one of my most prized possessions and I just look at it as maintenance, so spending a little to keep it in top condition doesn’t bother me.

I was recommended this by a manufacture sticker on my brand new GE dishwasher. Great results!

PROS: DOES THE JOB - I use when dishwasher starts to smell in between washes - IT DOES keep it smelling fresh IN BETWEEN washes, with dirty dishes in it (I run dishwasher every other day) PRICE - OK, A LITTLE PRICIER than Walmart, but only by about a couple buck AND I can get it delivered free with Prime. I pay about six bucks and change at Walmart, I paid about eight and change here. Considering I am isolating, well worth the couple bucks to have delivered. LENGTH IT LASTS - Keeps my dishwasher smelling good for about THREE weeks, if I'm lucky. A little disappointed in longevity. CONS: SCENT is strong and I am sensitive to scent. But the strong scent starts to dissipate after a few washes. IF you are sensitive to scent, after you run the dishwasher with the pod in it, before you open the dishwasher, open some windows and take a deep breath, bolt out of the room and go to another room til it cools down. It also doesn't last as long as I would like, I need to use about every three weeks and I run dishwasher every other day and rinse dishes lightly before I put in dishwasher.

I recently noticed a distinctly funky odor emanating from my dishwasher, which is obviously not a good thing. After using only one of these tabs, the odor was completely gone. That was money well spent! Perhaps if I'd actually been using them routinely all along, the odor never would have begun in the first place. At any rate, they definitely work, so don't be afraid to give them a try!

I had tried citrus based dishwasher cleaners in the past, but they didn't seem to do much. I told myself that I didn't need to bother with a dishwasher cleaner- I rinsed my plates, cleaned the filter and wiped out the dishwasher regularly. But it seemed every time I ran the dishwasher, the filter would be nasty and greasy, and my dishwasher had an unplesant odor. I looked at a lot of cleaners, and selected Cascade. This product changed my mind about dishwasher cleaners! It has a pleasant odor, very easy to use, and it really works! I did have to use a second tablet to get rid of all the built up gunk, but now my dishwasher cleans like it is brand new, and my dishes are sparkling!

It works great, I have hard water ( lime scale) and it was getting really bad build up on sprayers. It only took 1 tablet to clean it and made it run like new again and also cleaned the screens inside. I do clean my dishwasher on regular basis as in screens and use rinse aid but this is the only thing that helped get the lime scale off. I had such bad build up it was like rocks so I didn't know if it would work or not but it's a great product and highly recommend it.

I'm told that we should clean our dishwashers and washing machines regularly. Seems kinda silly since the appliances are doing the cleaning. Bought a few pacs, used them once a month, didn't notice any difference in the quality of the wash or the smell. Actually, in 15 years of daily use, my dishwasher has never smelled.......
