Keystone Tablet Punch

It’s straight forward, metal plates, good quality, hopfully ill never have to see if they survive a fire. Metal lunch that comes with it works fine all be it low quality. I purchased a nemco for less than $10 but the one that’s included works just fine.

Not a full review but just some things i've noticed that some people will want to know about. -It is thick and heavier than expected. Definitely not something you want to carry around but i like that it feels so substantial. -The included punch is unreliable. Doesn't always spring actuate. 50% success rate -Even though it's made out of steel, it's not very magnetic. If you put your average fridge magnet on it, it will barely stay on. If you use a rare earth magnetic, it will stick better but is still very weak. So if you're thinking of hiding this wallet somewhere using a magnet, then this is not the wallet to get.

Nice concept and quality steel plates. The punch is a problem. It worked well for the first few words but then failed. I found unscrewing the different components and then applying very slow, steady pressure helped it to work better, though I had to do that several times throughout the process. I suspect the failure has to do with a misalignment of the internal piston. So, be patient with the punch or have another punch to use to mark the plates.

The board is good but pen is not working functioning well.

The bother with this. The metal pincher broke to mark the metal plates within the first plate. Why sell this is if its bad quality. Look for other options.

Excellent quality steel. Great thickness. The punch pen performed well. After trying many methods of key preservation, this one from Keystone we found the most reliable and effective.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The tool failed on the fourth punch. I took it apart and used the pin with a small hammer. Without a lock on it the wallet doesn't actually stay closed and the plates scratch easily. Obviously, more durable than paper. The issue is, now I am thinking about buying a different metal wallet as a back up incase this one gets damaged. I shouldn't need a back up for the back up.
