I presume they live under the rocks as opposed to some insects that burrow in the ground. This insect killer is awesome. It is easy to connect to the hose and I sprayed my patio as well as the rocks. They seem to die instantly as I had to sweep all the dead ones off my porch after the water dried up. Spraying the rocks kills whoever is hiding in there as I haven't seen any new bugs since I sprayed two days ago. The bottle will easily last me four or five (maybe more?) applications to cover my 60x25 foot rock and patio area. Depending on how long it takes for me to see another kissing bug, I'll know how often to treat just the rocks so they don't get a chance to emerge in the first place.
