I live in Texas where it hardly gets cold. Mosquitoes and other insects keep me off my patio. Enter Thermacell Mosquito Repellent and refills. They work so well that I’m enjoying my patio. They work very well.

Heat triggers the dissipation of the mosquito repellent saturated in these mats--and seems to work well for the majority of mosquito types that go after me. Each pad tends to last 4 hours total. Sometimes, I'll switch the heat source on for an hour at a time, come back and light it again the next day, and it's still effective though the exposure to the air and elements may decrease the 4 hour total "lifespan" of the mat's repellent. The mats are easy to use, easy to swap out (on the fly), and easy to keep a stock of extras on hand. I use these with the Thermacell MR-BPR Backpacker Mosquito Repeller, which I really like and use two at a time. And I use these for at least a couple of hours every day when it's not cold outside, because the mosquitos around here are aggressive and pervasive. I like the simple setup with a propane tank to fuel the heating element. No mosquito repellant eliminates 100%, since different types of them respond to different things. But this one gets rid of most of the ones that exist where I am and go. For the few mosquitos around me that have no response to this particular repellent, I either apply a different type of repellent spray or use my handy The Executioner tennis racket zapper, which is a gratifying way to get rid of the other ones. My only complaint is that the naming of this product confused me. There must be some reason why they did this, but... These are neither 24-hour pads, nor 48-hour pads. They are 4-hour pads sold in quantities of 6 or 12. I'd prefer the package read more clearly "6-Pack of 4-Hour Pads" or "12-Pack of 4-Hour Pads" and less on the total 24-hr/48-hr time of coverage. I would also like to buy in in larger bulk, as I'd buy a 100-Pack of 4-Hour Pads" in a heartbeat.

These are by far the best mosquito repellant on the market. I have used these for over 5 years and will never buy anything else. These refill packs last me weeks in the summertime!

More product to fuel longer camping trips. I love this product and highly recommend it over using other, more scammy repellants that either don't work at all or cause other issues like making you taste bad to your partner while camping, or harming friendly bugs and animals with really harmful chemicals you/they can breathe in or get on their skin. This product doesn't have any of that. It's smokeless, silent running, light and compact. It even uses only a small amount of resources to run. One small canister of ISO gas lasted a week long trip. These pads only last about 4 hours which is fine, but make sure you keep it covered from rain. If the lads get even a small amount of rain water on them, it lowers the efficacy and run time. I had to use the product in very wet, windy and stormy environment, and it still performed well. I learned quickly what happens when the lad gets wet, and has to adjust accordingly. That was my fault, misusing the product in more austier environments, but even with the wind and rain, the mosquitoes tried to hang out with us in a swarm. It's like they did even care about the wind or rain, they just wanted to eat us as we huddled under a tarp trying to cook some of our camping food. I turned on this puppy and the mosquitoes made themselves scarce. Even with the wind and rain, the area of effect wasn't too diminished even with the pad getting some rain on it. I did have to change the pad out, but learned from the mistake. Highly recommend. I hope this helps!

This review is for the refill pads only. I insert the refill pad into the Thermacell Backpacker or into the Thermacell Portable Repeller and as soon as it heats up it becomes very effective! I live in Alaska. One of the jokes around here is that the mosquito is our state bird. My property backs up to a wetland (swampy area) and is the prime breeding ground for mosquitoes. Once we hit mid June, it is impossible to work outside or even enjoy time on the deck. If I insert the refill pad into the Thermacell Backpacker or into the Thermacell Portable Repeller, I wait a very short time and I can actually enjoy being outside. Keep in mind, the area that is cleared of mosquitoes is about a 12-15 foot circumference. So, if you are moving around your area, you may want more than one of these fired up.

De pads werken goed . De gascatouches zijn snel leeg. Na een nacht is het gas op en de pads kunnen nog verder..

Item is as expected.. Working condition is good..

The Delivery was over due by nearly a month. And when it finally arrived, i opened it up and found 12 single pads instead of a box of 32. I have sent these back and awaiting my money back plus the return cost….. not very happy

Recentie is voor de verkoper. In het onderwerp staat er tot 2 keer toe beschreven dat het gaat om 48 STUKS /piece/pezzi. Echter kregen we maar 12 stuks. Contact gezocht. Dan wordt er uitgelegd dat het om 12 stuks gaat die 48 UUR werken. Maar zo staat het niet in het onderwerp beschreven. Hier een melding van gemaakt dat het verkeerd staat beschreven. Daarna weer een bericht terug met dezelfde boodschap.. maar dan in het Italiaans. De verkoop is misleidend en niet accuraat. En de klantenservice blijft maar herhalen. Beter even ergens anders kopen/ verder scrollen. Heb meer recenties gelezen dat ze ook een slecht retourbeleid hebben.
