It works and looks great
I'm a bit of a hack player but I've always loved the thought of having a guitar with a Bigsby on it. Found this cheap Gretsch (well under $200 used) and thought it a good candidate to enter the world of "modding". Super easy install once you "square" it to the bridge/neck etc...that took a bit of figuring. I've never played a guitar with this type of vibrato before. I found at first yes, the thing would be dreadfully out of tune after wangin' around with the thing, but I did a little reading on players' techniques with real Bigsbies and there are techniques that can be used to reduce this (plus letting your new strings stretch and settle in). I've found that gentle use and being able to find the "zeroed out" point of the spring is helpful. You need a good ear for that. So I'm satisfied. My only beef would be: I spent maybe $65 CAD on this but I see what I think are identical units much cheaper available. I doubt there is any difference between them. Either you spend around this much on El Cheapo whammy bar, or $200+ on a Bigsby. Maybe on my next guitar.

Easy to install and use, a nice, cheaper alternative to a bigsby
I was sceptical when I purchased it, but was quite amazed when I recieved it and installed it on my glarry gtl telecaster, I had no issues installing or using it, as long as you take your time to line it up properly then it should be good to go. The spring is a bit high, which in my case I like because it gives enough clearance for my push pull pot without having to move the bar out of the way, I would buy again for future guitar projects and upgrades.

Good for the money, but not perfect
This is a cheap imitation of a Bigsby B5, and you get what you pay for. The posts to hold the strings are a little long, which prevents you from using a string spoiler. They're also long enough they can sometimes catch the strings, creating noise. It's also MUCH cheaper than a real B5, so maybe you won't mind a few limitations if you're pressed for money. If you have the money, get a real Bigsby. If not, this should be fine.

Depends if you drill
if you want to drill this on ur guitar then its awesome, works perfectly and just as good as a real bigsby, but if you want it on a mount then ur out of luck since they dont fit on vibramates

Best Vibrato bar for a great price
This Vibrato Tailpiece is very well built, made out of solid metal and comes very close to the Bigsby B5 Vibrato Bar. The chrome is very nice and makes the guitar look amazing. It is SUPER easy to install with a drill and a screwdriver. It has a very smooth feel, bends strings with ease and will not detune your strings. And for under $40, you can't beat it.
