I bought this body armor two sizes too big (as recommended by some other reviewers), and with all the adjustments tightened to the max, it fit perfectly. I wore it today riding my Honda Shadow Sabre 1100cc motorcycle that weighs 600lbs, which is twice as much as the Honda 350cc I had when in my youth (I’m 74, 5ft 7in, and weigh 116.6lbs).Previously, I dropped the bike on myself six times in six weeks, sustaining two sprained ankles, two sprained knees, twisting my right hip, with deep abrasions on my left palm heal, forearm, elbow, and knee. One of those times I banged my head (no helmet) and didn’t know where I was (disorientation).Since then, I’ve installed crash/engine protection bars (which also keep the bike from crushing your legs), and I'm wearing knee and shin armor, palm slider-armor (that skateboarders use), Cry No More gloves with stainless steel threads therein, full upper body armor, and a helmet.Slow maneuvering is when you tend to drop your bike, and when I'd drop mine. So when I went into town today to practice stop and go, slow turns from a stop, and dropped my bike for the 7th time (after not dropping it for a month) trying to turn right after coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. I received no injuries for the first time. Protective safety gear works. Use it!

I tried to cancel item almost immediately and the shipper wouldn't cancel and now that I received the item there's no options to send back unless you pay $13 Canadian. I will not buy from this supplier again and I'd advise that you are careful. Item seems okay but it is a bit small for xlarge and if I want a bigger one I have to pay!!

I just recently bought this a little over a month ago to wear when riding my motorcycle. I had a semi-truck side-swipe me on the road while I was riding my electric bicycle. This happened on 4/30/2019. It was a hit and run, and I was bloodied, lost some skin around my knuckles, right forearm, and left knee. Got a fractured tibia plateau on my left leg which healed. Since then I've ordered this armor, and hardened face mask to wear with my helmet and armored gloves that I already had. This item is pretty much pads and durable plastic armor for the shoulders, forearms/elbows, back, front sewn onto a light mesh fabric. At first, I thought the mesh may tear, but after having worn this for many days, it's held up. In the future, if the mesh does tear, I can take the padded armor off the mesh and still wear the armor without the mesh. The individual padded armor for the forearms/elbows, shoulders, back and front come with straps. I imagine that I can still put them on with the straps even if I tore off the mesh. This is well worth the money. In terms of size, I went with the x-large. I usually wear large size in clothing. I would order one or two sizes larger than you normally wear.
