This is my second time buying these flashing panels -- I bought 3 a couple of years ago, and 4 more just now. You would think that I love them. Well, I kind of do - BUT - the instructions that came with them before was ridiculously poorly translated - so it took me hours and hours of trial and error to get them to work. The alarm function is loud....actually TOO loud for a peaceful neighborhood to put up with as you will undoubtedly set them off over and over and over and over again..... as you walk around your yard. HOWEVER -- the flashing light function (with no siren) puts on quite a show if someone comes in the yard at night. I have all of my different sensors paired with all of my separate flashers to all go off whenever any one of the sensors is triggered. If it's a false alarm.... no problem, because it's just a bunch of flashing lights. No bother to the neighbors that way. But if you are thinking about breaking into my car, or prowling around my home, the barrage of lights flashing will certainly let you know that you have set off some alarms. I do have them all paired to my less obnoxious interior alarm receivers that I got from the same company. One up stairs and one down stairs. The bad guy might only see the flashing lights, but I will also know that someone is in the yard because the interior receiver will sound....then I get my gun. The real question is this: Why in the hell doesn't the company hire a person who speaks English as their FIRST language write out the instructions. This in the companies second time trying to write the instructions in a way that we Americans can understand them..... but they failed again as they continue to use a Chinese person who has taken some English classes, and not the other way around. I'd give the product 5 stars - but instead I have deducted one BIG star for their inability to deliver this product to the American market with a set of instructions that we ENGLISH speaking people can actually understand.
