...probably the best moisturiser in the world....
I have used this product for maybe 8 years. It gives a perfect amount of moisture, glow and bounce to skin. I first used it because I saw 2 women (mid forties who both looked fantastic) buying it in Space NK who said it had changed their skin texture. It has great ingredients and a perfect smell.I am very fussy about products - and only use essential oils, aloe and spring water spritz on my skin - and tried to not use this for a while, but couldn't live without it! Amazing product.

I have dry and mature skin
I have the skin type this moisturiser is aimed at.My first impression was annoyance that the jar was not filled properly. There is a huge gap of air where the cream should have been.If I had bought this product I would have returned it for that reason. The air would also effect the cream in a negative way as many of the ingredients diminish their work if exposed to air.I have seen another review that goes into much helpful detail about the negatives of using a jar for the cream. I totally agree. My favourite and most used skin care is Weleda, they package the face creams in tubes. Therefore no dipping in of fingers which just might be carrying bacteria. The bacteria will then go into the jar and onto the product. Plus the exposure to light and air is diminishing the positives of the moisturiser.Testing the cream was interesting. The first application I didn’t really notice anything special but on the second application the next day my skin tingled and felt warmed up.After about ten minutes the tingling became irritation and my sensitive skin was not happy. I love the smell of rose but the amount of perfume in this product is over the top for my skin.I usually avoid any perfumed products but hoped that with the claims of being natural this would be ok and it is not. There is a long list of ingredients which although natural are still capable of irritating sensitive skin and dry mature skin does tend to be more sensitive. After 15 minutes I removed the moisturiser with unscented face wipes as the skin sensation grew more uncomfortable. My face had gone bright red too!I wouldn’t use this product again. I think they have put a lot of emphasis on natural ingredients but forgotten that too much of a good thing is still too much! How much testing has been done on dry mature skin? Being over 60 your skin changes. It is not the same as trying it out on even a forty something.

Smells lovely smooths beautifully
Elemental Herbology face creamMy theory on face cream is that it should really be edible. In fact you can put more in your stomach than you can on your face, as your stomach is full of acid to digest and kill off any nasties, whereas your skin just soaks everything in!.Usually I just put coconut oil or almond oil on my face but this cream looked nice and natural so thought it was worth a try.In fact it is a nice combination and smells lovely and floral. It contains a varied combination of ingredients, including sacha inchi oil which comes from a nut from the Peruvian Amazon jungle. So these people have clearly travelled far and wide for their nutriceuticals. Argan oil from Morocco, cocoa butter, and rose water,The packaging says everything is from natural sources - though that is a misleading term as everything is ultimately from natural sources - even plastic! However, this is a much more natural cream than most, packed full of "good for the skin" oils and nutrients and it smells divine and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.Definitely deserves a place in your bathroom cabinet.

Fantastic product
I've always had a soft spot for any products with essential oils as I have always found they have tangible benefits over and above a great smell.Unsurprisingly then I really love this product. Some people have cirticised it for the fragrance which is slightly strange when you are talking about a range which is defined by its use of natural oils.I love the fragrance, rose geranium, the texture is very rich, creamy and soothing. The weather today is very windy and chilly and when I got home I put some more on. Almost at once I felt my skin sort of relax and feel less taut.

Rich daytime moisturiser for dry or mature skin with overwhelming aroma of geranium oil
Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator - SPF 8 - 50 mlThis is a range of products I really like, despite being unconvinced about some of its claims. I love the aroma of this moisturiser (there's an overwhelming aroma of geranium oil that lingers on the skin for a long time), the cooling feeling as the product is applied to the skin, its creamy texture and the lovely moisturising effect it provides. It feels luxurious and lovely and contains some good ingredients. Overall, this is a product I really enjoy using and which gives a lovely result. However, it seems to me there are a number of flaws with the product, including its derisory SPF 8 rating and the presence of potentially irritating aromatic oils. Also, this product is called a 'cell plumper', when it's really just a facial moisturiser for use during the day; it's the sort of term used by cosmetics companies that contributes to the confusion consumers can feel around choosing products.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* Smart and attractive packaging and branding, giving a distinctly high-end feel* As it's only to be used once a day in the morning, the jar should last for some time* Intoxicating aroma of geraniums on application which lingers on the skin for a long time* Brings a nice cooling tingle to the skin on application that continues for some time* Rich, thick cream* My skin feels richly moisturised after use=== NIGGLES ===* The premise behind the range isn't that reassuring in terms of science or efficacy, since it's been developed by someone who's described as an acupuncturist and 'holistic therapist' whatever that means). Sticking needles in people for a living, no matter how skilfully, doesn't mean you know anything much worthwhile about what's good to put on the skin.* I'm not sure what the point of including SPF 8 in a moisturiser is; you may as well not bother.* Overwhelming aroma of geranium which some may not enjoy* The presence of aromatic oils can irritate sensitive skin* The product is contained in a jar, which is less hygienic than a tube or pump action bottle* Contains a vast array of ingredients* Lots of headline ingredients are listed. I'm not sure whether any of these claims are backed up by science and the "natural is good" myth is one I don't buy into (tobacco is natural and it most definitely isn't good for you!)=== INGREDIENTS ===Rosa Damascena Flower Water*, Aqua*, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (SPF 8), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil*, Cetearyl Alcohol*, Ceteareth-6 Olivate*, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Glyceryl Stearate*, Glycerin*, Plukenetia Volubilis (Sacha Inchi) Oil*, Rosa Canina Seed Oil*, Panthenol (Vitamin B3), Soluble Collagen*, Pearl Powder*, Ubiquinone, Royal Jelly*, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil*, Avena Strigosa Seed Extract*, Paniceum Milliaceum (Millet) Seed Extract*, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract*, Lecithin*, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), PEG-100 Stearate*, Cetearyl Glucoside*, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil*, Oryzanol*, Arginine*, Maris Sal*, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Disodium EDTA, Maltodextrin*, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tannic Acid*, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Citral*, Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Limonene*, Linalool*. *Ingredients derived from 100% natural source.=== PACKAGING & PRICE ===The product is really well-presented. It comes in a lovely white card box with lilac detailing and an attractive hand-drawn design. Inside, there's a black liner holding the glass jar securing in place. The 50ml of product comes in a clear glass jar with a screw-on plastic lid and, undoing this, there's a hygiene insert to protect and keep the cream in. For sale at the time of writing this review at £44.
