One of the units died after a few months with burn marks on the back. Sent in and replaced by Actiontec. A few months later the replacement goes bad as well but Actiontec won't replace it because it's outside of the original warranty period. Sure, the originals are but not the replacements. Why are these failing every 9 months?S***ty products and s***ty support.

Model #: PWR500 - Work well initially, both units failed after a year.
A pair of these items were purchased and worked well initially with other adaptors around our house. After just over a year, one of the two adaptors showed no lights, and died. Within 2 days of the first unit dying, the other unit also stopped working, and showed no lights. We replaced them with another brand and would not purchase these Actiontec products again because of the lack of longevity.

They break like clockwork
Purchased the set a while back. After a few months one of the units would no longer turn on and just made a high pitched squealing sound. Had the item replaced. Worked well for a few months and now the replacement is doing the same. Stay away.

Guaranteed to fail within a year
Works great until they don't. They die within a year. Try another brand.
