BGment Thermal Insulated 100% Blackout Curtains for Bedroom with Black Liner, Double Layer Full Room Darkening Noise Reducing Grommet Curtain (42 x 63 Inch, Dark Grey, 2 Panels)

I've been trying to find blackout curtains that work for a wall of 4 windows facing south on our 2ed floor for 2 years. Each window 'lite' measures 32" x 53" H (not including trim at top, sides and below sill). So I ordered curtains 42" W x 63" L. I chose Pure White because dark colors made me feel like I'm working in a cave instead of my home office with photos, art and books I enjoy. I tried several brands of white 'blackout' curtains that were no more more effective than the linen curtains I made and used 20 years. This brand's white curtains DO work thanks to the black thermal lining. Out of the package they appear pure white; when hung there's a slight grey cast due to strong sun hitting the black liner. Based on reviews, I ordered 4 sets of the curtains. However, I find I only need 2 sets because a single panel blocks each window so well, and I don't have to get heavier duty rods to hold the weight of 2 panels. When I open the curtain next to my desk 4" or 5", the amount of sunlight is perfect to work without using my desk lamp or overhead light. I agree with other reviewers: just a few wrinkles out of the package, and after hanging a few hours, they're good without needing an iron. Best of all? Today for the first time I no longer need to run our central A/C below 74 in order to keep my office and adjacent bedroom comfortable. That's amazing, because as I type this the temperature where I live in N Virginia is currently 97F with a heat index of 111F, a record in a year of broken temperature records across the entire U.S.A. and around the world. Summing up, these curtains are kind to my wallet, the community where I live and the planet.

I purchased these curtains because I was redoing the window treatments in the bedding. To my surprise when I received them they were of much more higher quality than I expected, I bought the thermal curtains as well and the bonus was they are blackout curtains as well. The quality of the material is shockingly beautiful and when you put them up to your window they give it that wow factor that you were searching for. You may have to take a light iron to them when you take them out of the package but it would be better just to dampen them and put them in the dryer on low they'll come out just fine. Now that they're up to the window I am going to order the ones for the guest bedroom. I tell you to measure your windows because you do receive two curtain panels each one or of the size that you pick so if you order the 42 by 63 you're going to get about 84 in of curtain total and if your window is not that big I suggest you go outside lower that's what I did my windows measure 54 across but two of the 42x 63 were adequate and perfect it did not present a bunching on the rod. So as I said on the title measure measure measure you will not be disappointed. I hope you love your new window treatments like I do happy decorating.

I love my white curtains! They totally block the light and noise. My bedroom faces the street and I hear street noise at night. I have noticed I am not woken up in the middle of the night by that anymore. Plus it keeps your room DARK. I highly recommend these curtains! They are a MUST buy!

These curtains really darken the room. They are true to size and cover the window nicely. Good quality and heavy. I wish the grommets came in different colors. Please note that the white curtains have a blue hue (probably due to the black liners). Looks a little off from the other whites in the room. I plan to add a colorful duvet cover to pull it all together. Overall I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price.

I selected pure white got pure white after reading the reviews I wasn't sure about these so I did a test run using my guest shower curtain rod to hang them temporarily to see if the curtains actually performed as blackout and they work for my needs. Now it is 5pm so the sun is setting on the other side of the house but to help me get to sleep early like 6pm early when my shift rotates and I must be up at 3am this does the trick. I will update the review if at noon if they aren't truly blacking out the light but as for now I say they are black out true to color and heavy fabric. Now I just need to pick out a matching rod some tie backs maybe hit them with the steamer and be good to go. Last pic was taken at 850am so seems to be the same coverage as 5pm yesterday
