Sorry very disappointed I wanted something to inspire me to be Crestive not a 1001 what to do today suggestion book ,,, go draw a circle . Why not do this etc ! Oh the creative juices really flowed NOT ! very disappointed

I think this is a really neat idea for a book. Everyone gets into ruts where they go through everyday life and lose their creativity a little bit. This book offers you a way out of that rut.There are a lot more than 1001 things listed in this book. However there are 1001 numbered items in this book. Contrary to the title A Thousand and One ways to be creative, the 1001 Numbered things are not always ideas of things to do, but sometimes they're just words of encouragement on why you should do something.In addition to the numbered items in the book the book is intermittently dispersed with encouraging quotes and ideas on how to get your creative juices flowing.The book is very colorful and upbeat and you can't help but feel encouraged by it. It's organized so well that you never have to devote a lot of time to reading it or looking at it. I think that's what I like the most about it. You can open it, flip to any random page and read what's on that page in less than a minute. Or you can take more time and think about it and look through the book a little more but you don't have to. This is a book that you don't have to make time to read. You just pick it up when you can and you get a brilliant idea from it.Size-wise the book is small and lightweight. It's probably a six-by-six square and maybe an inch and a half thick. It's one of those books that you can put on your nightstand and glance at from time to time just to give you some ideas or lift your spirit.

This is a nice book of 1,001 ways to be creative. It is actually a compilation of ideas to spark creativity as well as some inspirational and motivational quotes.I gave another one of Barbara Ann Kipfer's books to a friend who was in the hospital last year and she loved it. This book also fits that category - perfect as a small gift for someone in the hospital, home sick or just as a nice, no-strings-attached hostess/friendship gift.It is beautifully bound with quality paper and whimsical watercolor-like designs of artwork on each page. This really does make a thoughtful gift, for yourself or for a friend.
