Good product
Works exactly as intended - provides proper communication between APC UPS and the Synology NAS and allows the NAS to properly report power outages and gracefully shut down when the outage is long enough to deplete the UPS battery.

Connects my APC UPS batteries to a computer
I use these to connect my APCUPS batteries to a computer. I run Fedora Linux and apcupsd to monitor the batteries and start shutting equipment down once the batteries get below 5% remaining. These cables connect the batteries to the computer. Work great.

Works perfectly with APC RS 1500 and Power Chute software
Works perfectly. No problems communicating with my APC RS 1500. 10 ft length is great since the UPS is positioned behind my server rack.

Perfect cable for the UPS protocol it is made for.
I got this cable to allow me to interface with my APC Smart - UPS 1500 so I can monitor its status of the equipment it is connected to. The cord length is perfect. Cable quality is spot on. What you get to replace the OEM is great. It's connectivity speed is as expected. Overall functionality and value for your money is just like OEM that came with the system.

APC communication cable for UPS.
This cable is definitely the correct product for APC UPS users. Works with APC software. A bit expensive for what it does, but it's necessary. Nothing special it just works. Note: It should be a few feet longer than the original for the price.

Cable UPS to PC worked
Worked like a charm. Connected the cable to the USB with its RJ45 connector and connected cable to USB on computer and APC UPS was able to communicate with the PC. Worked out of the box.

Worked perfectly.
The cable was of good quality, came with connection covers, simple to use and install and was a perfect length for my installation. While I would have preferred a lower price, for the limited purposes of this type of connector it was a good value.As soon as I connected it, my computer acknowledged it was there, a simple installation of the APC software and it was up and running.This is my first modern backup power supply so, having it connected to a computer so I have current, load and diagnostic information at my finger tips is awesome!EDIT: Ditto for the second purchase for a second APC unit.Why buy this cable: So, for those APC backup power supplies that offer it. The PC connectivity provides the ability for a computer to be safely shutdown by the backup power supply based on how long the computer has been on battery or how much battery life is left. With the Powerchute software and the USB cable you turn a dumb backup power supply into a smart one that not only is capable of shutting down a computer before the battery dies, but provides you with metrics on your power consumption, cleanliness, and on-battery events.
