Audio worked as expected
The features and details section talked about this being a DMX cable which made me a little skeptical at first about it's audio functionality which is what I needed this for, and by the time I connected it on both ends, it passed audio very nicely with no drop outs. Distance was almost 100 ft! UTP CAT5e/6 should work just fine as this is the cable run I had between the source device and the mixer.

This is a Y cable, and does NOT pass two signals; not recommended for balanced audio
This is a "Y" cable and is wired for transmitting ONE signal across an RJ45 cable. It does NOT however have the capability of transmitting two signals as some may hope or expect. The two male XLR ends are wired together, and the two female ends are wired directly together as well. I would NOT recommend this cable for balanced audio. For me, it created a humming and buzzing depending on how I oriented the RJ45 end of the cable in relation to the PA, and that is without an Ethernet or Ethercon cable plugged it, just the male "Y". It may work well for DMX or other applications, but I would not recommend it for audio. I gave it 4 stars because it may work for other applications, and the seller allowed a return for a full refund. Thank you!

Tested bought two
Some claim is not a dual cable. I tested it and I do have two individual channels. Not sure what done are talking about
