My 16 yo ASD daughter sprains her ankle almost yearly so this year I bought her high top canvas sneakers, they were budget quality and we paid the price when she yet again sprained her ankle on the very first day of school! Next we tried a sneaker I had when I was a teen, Reebok high-top (you know the ones with the velcro at the ankle that we used to wear slouchy socks with?), and it was a no-go, my daughters sensory issues couldn't tolerate the narrow toe-box. Next we tried these, I have Doc Martins that are at least 30 years old that I wore all over Europe and are still very usable today, and they have a nice wide toe-box, so we took a chance on these, and guess what? She LOVES them! They seem very solid, and very well made, they might not last 30 years, but if they last her at least thru the next school year, I'll be happy! Highly recommend for autistic or sensory processing disorder women/teens, or those that roll their ankle easily.

These shoes are very well made. Tactical style boots. My only issue with these is how flat and stiff they are. Unfortunately, after my surgery the boots are too big, but it's too late to return them. Putting arch support insoles in them does help, though.

I am always a 9 1/2 , read the reviews and they all said to size down, did exactly that and they fit perfectly! Very happy(:
