Great ladder game with unique mechanics
One of my favorite card games. Scout has a unique mechanism where you are dealt a hand, and that hand cannot be reorganized. You have to beat whatever the person played prior, so a 2 would beat a 1, a 9 would beat that 2, a 1-2 run would beat the 9 and so on. If you cannot beat the set played, you can choose to scout one of the cards that was played and put it anywhere in your hand, potentially strengthening a run or set of matching cards. The game runs until one player gets rid of all of their cards, and then the hand is scored. The score after everyone has had a turn starting determines the overall winner. Excellent game that is inexpensive and very portable!

At first the rules felt a bit tricky, but once I got used to them the game turned out to be very strategic. You can play it with deep thinking or just casually, and both ways are fun.

Love this variation on a classic trick taking game. And the small size makes this game very portable

Fun and travel friendly
we got this game to bring on a vacation where we can play games but needed games that would work with two people. It was easy to pack, easy to learn, and quick to play. I enjoyed playing a few times and look forward to playing again with three or four players where there could be more of a dynamic. Definitely recommend this game if you want something that’s quick to learn and play and also travel friendly.

it's a popular game
we play this game pretty often at my wednesday night board game night. its always a hit with the newcomers and the people who come a lot. i bought this for my niece though, who is in college. i thought it would be a good game to pull out randomly with her friends, and it wouldnt take up much space in her dorm room. i havent heard if they like it yet... OH, i wanted to buy this in a local game store, but they say it always sells out. thats how popular it is.
