Great production ! Material is very good and well sorted into the box . We love to play the game with 1 to 3 players . Didn't try with 4 but would be to long for our taste . Takes up to 2 hours with 3 people . Hard to learn , although manual is very clear and we play a lot of heavier games. All makes sence in first round but takes time to take it all in. Great videos to find as well . Defenetly one of our most loved games and a lot of replayability . Like to get New Zealand as well but would start with this one if never played before.

This is a game that takes 2 hours plus to play, and will exercise your brain. Like most games this is best played with other people, but this version does also come with an automa opponent so that you can play solo. The game is multifaceted and has some deep strategy choices, so there are several ways to win. Whether you concentrate on driving cattle, build homesteads, or go for the rail route, you will find challenges in succeeding. If you are enthused by a scenario of driving cattle to market, then this game could be for you. I have mostly played solo, and enjoyed the challenge. If you need a brain workout then this could be for you.

This is a really superb euro game and plays well with two three or four players, top quality components and the board and artwork is fabulous, it takes a while to set it up for play but is well worth it. Lots of choices in how you play it and it takes a game or two just to get to grips with the various options and rules. It's one of the top rated games in BGG and I can see exactly why, I picked it up for a great price on Amazon on a black Friday deal and am delighted with the purchase. If you like Euro games like Scythe, Castles of Burgundy, Viticulture, Wingspan, Brass Birmingham, Dune etc this is a great medium weight addition. It's not too long in 2 player mode but about 2+ hours in 3 or 4 players. Nice to see a game with an insert for the cards etc as well.

Bought as a Christmas gift. We tried it over the holidays and found the rules very complicated and it took ages to play. I think with more time to get to know all the symbols etc without having to keep looking them up will speed it up. So far not a huge hit with the family.

Great game with a very good solo mode.

Takes a long time to set up the first time and a chunky rule book, and the first game takes a long time to run through, but the game play speeds up with each turn you take as you learn all the actions. Is a really good game I’d highly recommend

Great Western Trail is a great strategy game that gives you months of fun games. 4 people/cowboy game where you heard your cattle through to the market. Improve your herd, avoid bandits, strengthen your houses and slow down your competitors! Recommend you follow youtube tutorial as rules are not ideal. For any fan of strategy board games - this is an awesome (separate game) addition to your stable of boardgames. If you are new to strategy games - this one is likely too complicated… maybe start with Agricola or Ark Nova?

Je teouve ce jeux parfait. Le prix, le contenu.. franchement, ce jeux est addictif et simple à jouer...le mode solo est un peu trop à l'avantage de l'automa mais avec de l'experience on peut battre "sam"... Bravo pour l'editeur

A huge improvement on the original in turns of production values. The board has new artwork and the game now has a solo mode. Good stuff.
