EASY and EXACTLY AS EXPECTED
I ordered a 36x48. When the initial delivery arrived and it was a 48x60.OOPS! But no problem.I returned via Amazon and the manufacture expedited the correct frame right out to me.Packaging = sturdy.Aesthetic = clean, flat, and minimal e.g., perfect for posters.Value = I think it's reasonable. Your mileage may vary depending on your expectations, but it is a good product all the same. I know that if I have further need for a poste frame this is the product I'll buy.Assembly = pretty simple. Though.. my one critique is with the magnetic strip attached to the backing which holds it fast to the frame. When the backing is fully extended, the magnetic strip appears to not align. I think this is because it DID align when it was cut and installed, but then when it was packaged the glue (possibly not fully set) allowed the magnet to shift. GOOD NEWS - this was an easy fix that had no functional or aesthetic drawback. I used an exact knife to cut a 1/2" segment off from the joint where the misalignment was greatest and.... Voila! Perfect Fit!1) When you go to open each section it will feel (almost) like you're gonna break it. But then.... SNAP! The spring-loaded sections open.2) If you want to switch to hanging the frame horizontal from vertical - you simply remove the associated screws, slide out the square washers, re-slide them into the corresponding section, re-fasten the screw, and continue. Some reviews state that the quality is flimsy. Well.. it IS designed for posters. If you wanted to hang a family heirloom, you should consider having professionally framed. Some reviews state that the parts do not align. Well... simply loosening the adjoining bolts a bit will allow you to align the sections. Once aligned, retighten. Tada!

got to flip the side rails UP to assemble
Framing a poster.. worked great after I maneuvered through the assembly process. you need to flip the rails up and the instructions are rather cryptic. Once I did that, it all came together nicely

Nightmare
I read the reviews and should have listened to my gut but I really needed a frame to protect a large poster before it became more damaged. All the other frames that size cost three to four times as much (and this one was still pretty expensive).First of all, right on the box there was a label that said "ship as is" so that made me wonder what was wrong with it. I did not order a used or damaged frame at a lower price. But as far as I can tell there was nothing wrong with the parts provided.Other reviewers were correct in that the instructions are completely useless. No text. Just tiny photos. I have no idea what they're doing in the photos. There are screws, but they don't screw into anything so I have no idea what those are for.The instructions do provide a website to watch a video on how to assemble. Well, guess what? The videos do not play due to a "YouTube error". Yeah, right. No one should need a video to put together a poster frame in the first place. Then I learned that the white backing attracts hair and dirt like a magnet. I literally had just cleaned my house and mopped the floors before opening the box. And yet it was still attracting random hairs and dirt from who knows where. Thank goodness I do not have pets to make it worse. This was an even bigger problem for me as I could not find a frame in the size I needed and had to get a much larger frame. That means a lot of the backing is showing with all the hairs and dirt. Yuck. Most important: The corners DO NOT LINE UP and the edges are sharp. I got the frame put together, but it looks like garbage. I cannot hang it on a wall where others would see it or get near it and potentially cut themselves. However, it does serve its main purpose which is to protect a poster from damage. It will be fine in the closet as long as the corners don't tear up anything.

Trouble putting it together?
So what you want to is unscrew the screws that are meant to connect the 2 pieces slightly. The reason you want to do this is because what is keeping them secure is the screws guard, as you can see it’s much wider than most screws. After that slide the pieces in and push them together until the 2 pieces are flush, then tighten the screws until you can’t anymore. After that the frame should be good and strong. The instructions for this thing are terrible.

large frame
Bought for super large map (36x48). It was easy to assemble and hang on the wall. Plastic cover took just a few minute to straighten out since arrived rolled up. Frame snapped easily in place and holds secure.

Surprised by how sturdy
Was great hung my favorite poster looks amazing in it. Comes portrait hang so you have to adjust hardware to hang landscape before you assemble everything. Lol learned that the hard way. YouTube has a instructional on it
