Great hobby tool.
I love this thing. I have been using it for years to find centers. Set axle depth for pinewood derby cars. I also use it to keep my screw to edge spacing all lined up. Thought I lost it. Went to lowes, Ace Hardware, and home depot they did not have anything even close. I think I will order another one just to have as a backup. Yes I love it that much. You can see mine is well used.

Cheap but not durable
The fence cracked at the threads after just a few uses; now it is impossible to tighten the thumb screw.

Worked great...until it breaks
I had this gauge for a little while. I actually like using it and would reach for it over my expensive English made rosewood and brass gauges.I was really happy with it right up until it broke at the fence. Now you can't tighten the fence at all and the gauge is useless. I've tried to come up with a fix because I liked the gauge, but it's totally junkers.

Good value for the price
The Stanley styrene marking gauge is a pretty good choice for a budget-conscious crafstman. When it comes to woodworking tools, heavier is often better as the weight gives you more control. This marking gauge weighs very little, which means you have to work harder to control it. Still, at about $8 retail you can't beat the price: a more robust gauge could easily cost you $50.

bzw. genau was ich nach den anderen Rezensionen erwartet habe. Es ist ein Plastik teil, welches sich billig anfühlt.Die Funktion ist einwandfrei gegeben und wenn man es nicht durch die Gegend wirft wird es auch halten, davon bin ich überzeugt. Dass es für Holz ungeeignet ist, weil die Nadel hängen bleibt, was ich weiter unten gelesen habe..... Naja, wenn man das Streichmaß richtig führt, schaffe ich es nichtmal mir vorzustellen, wie die Nadel hängenbleiben könnte...Die 2 mm Schritte stören mich auch nicht, da ich den Skalen ohnehin nie traue und mir den gewünschten Abstand mittels Metalllineal einstelle. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.

Trusquin de bonne qualité
J'avais besoin d'un trusquin mais ceux en bois était assez cher, je me suis rabattu sur celui ci ( en plastique hors la pointe et le talon ), la graduation est precise , la pointe trace bien, le plastique ne ce plie/tord pas sauf si vous la jouer bourrin, en gros un bon trusquin a pas cher et de marque Stanley
