Assembly was easy, but the pieces are cheap and break almost immediately. Two of the valves broke on the first experiment, and I’ve rebuilt each of them 3 times already going into the 6th experiment. The o-rings can extrude when fitting the containers onto the valves, but a dab of silicone grease remedied that... one container cracked just assembling it onto its valve... we have spent more time waiting for the glue to dry after fixing broken pieces than we have using the kit. The phenol red solution is either of extremely poor quality, or significantly past it’s prime as it barely functions. A little attention on quality and this would be a pretty great learning tool... but this manufacturer clearly does not care in the slightest about quality... It does ear it’s one star though, as it is a good lesson for my children on both avoiding poor quality products as well as innovative solutions to repair broken components.

While this set looks fun, it’s a parent’s nightmare! The pieces are hard to snap in place and the tubing didn’t fit into all of the pieces properly so it was quite the struggle. The experiments were boring and didn’t keep my son’s attention for more than 10 minutes. It took me longer than that to set up. As if the set up wasn’t bad enough, the taking apart was much worse! I had to use a mallet to get the main piece out of the base. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you like to struggle.

My son got this for a gift and it is missing the instruction experiments manual. Does anyone know were I can request a manual? We would really like to do experiments.
